I asked this question before, but the two answers I received won't work for us, so I am going to try again! =)
I don't want to use those hard plastic tubs that my two previous babies hated. So, I am looking for something better.
The PUJ tub won't work with any of our sinks, and the PRIMO EUROBATH my hubby doesn't want because it is too large and we are pressed for storage space.
Any other suggestions for a great tub? Also, where did you purchase the tub?
I'm assuming you are looking for an infant that can sit up yet? I suggest showering with baby? That is what I am doing until she can sit up in one of those blowup duck baths.
I have hubby get her naked with a hand towel under her to help me get some traction, then use a face cloth and cup to wash and rinse, then hand her off to hubby while I finish my shower.
I tried a billion different "tubs" with my son. You know what worked best? The $5 yellow foam bear-shaped sponge that you buy at Target. Lie it in the bathtub, add an inch of water & lie the baby on the sponge & bathe the baby. Wring it out & air dry it for next time. Replace every month or two.
I used the little wire recliner with the mesh liner. It just sits in the tub with a little water, dries easily, and stores easily. Never used an actual baby tub.
When my son was a few months old, I would just take him in the tub with me, wash him, then hand him off to be dressed while I got out and got dressed.
We bought the sponge type and I didnt like that it fell apart so we bought the sling/recliner type. It is nice b/c the sling part comes off and can be washed, it has head support and is fully collapsible.
when our daughter was a baby, we used one of those slanted mesh things but once she was a toddler, we used the inflatable tubs that go right in the bath tub. the one i got was from one step ahead. i liked it because it was bigger than those inflatable rubber duck tubs so she had plenty of room to play and splash but was not overwhelmed in the "big" tub.
