Hi Everyone! I am 36 weeks pregnant and found out today that my baby has decided to change her position. She has been head down until now and she is currently what my OB called "frank breech" - meaning her legs are up. Does anyone know of anything I can do (safely and naturally) to change her position so she is head down again? I would like to avoid a c-section if possible because I did not have to have one last time. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I know that chiropractic adjustments can sometimes help turn the baby. My husband is a chiropractor and he has worked with several pregnant women and has helped them. His website is www.familyfocuschiropractic.com and he is located near The Woodlands. If you need more info let me know. I hope all goes well for you.

There are lots of different ways to try and turn a breech. First I recommend the site http://spinningbabies.com/ - it teaches you how to map your belly so you know babies exact position and it also suggests different ways to get baby into the optimal fetal position for birth. My third baby was breech and these are the things I tried to get him to turn. My favorite - abdominal massage with peppermint oil - you want to rub peppermint oil where the baby's head is located. You can also try a plank position - it's great exercise or you can use a flat board or wedge pillow - with your head and shoulders flat on the ground, raise your pelvis in the air and hold this position for as long as you can. Put something cold on the very top of your abdomen - like a bag of frozen peas. go swimming - you can also try going to see a chiropracter that is certified to perform the webster technique or an accupuncturist who does moxibustion. If you need some recommendations please feel free to contact me @ ____@____.com - I know several chiropractors who have great success with webster. Lastly, I would suggest visualization and talking with your baby ( from the direction you want your baby to be) good luck!

Babies actually move around a lot be patient and pray that the baby will decide to move around once more to get into the brithing position. My daughter who is now 8 was breech and she turned ....thank God. I also have heard that the doctor can somehow turn the baby as well. That is somethingI have heard. Good Luck!

Just dont worry about it there is not alot you can do--i had 3 children all with no pain medicine and easy deliverys. So when i get to my fourth i went to a mid wife and around the same time as yours she decided to go breech. I just couldnt believe it, the mid wife had me laying with my feet propped up the air a couple hours a day-it didnt work. One week before my due date she tried to manually move her by her and another mid wife laying on my stomache to get her to move--- that did not work either (she was stubbornnow and just as stubborn today!!) so we had to find a doctor to do the c-section at a week before the due date!! It wasnt what we had planned --but it turned out fine in the end.
