I'm 24 weeks along and am having a huge problem with my bladder (rather embarrasing), I have had a problem with this before but it just seems to be getting worse. I also have been having a problem with having pain down in my pubic area(like around the pubic bone), this started before i got pregnant but has gotten worse. now the part that concerns me the worst is the baby is down really low, and i still have three months to go. the doctor told me that the baby can go where he wants and we have no control over that, duh... and she was said the only way to tell if my bladder breaks is if its running down my legg or if its bloody. I'm going to be having my third c-section, so i'm ratner concerned about this. Has anyone had a baby so far down so early, is this normal? should i be concerned? should i see a differant doctor? last night in bed he was hitting so low, it felt like he was gonna reach out and grab me. Well i hope someone can help me, so if you know anyone or have had a similar problem please feel free to let me in on your story. thanks

What can I do next?

Both of my daughters sat really low, I never had a problem with the bladder other than normal pain....I was lucky without the leaking. I did however have the pain in the pubic bone. I would just take a really deep breath and silly as it sounds thought of chocolate cake( just a distraction of some kind) It would pass eventually. I also noticed that if I focused on the pain it seemed a lot worse. Hope it all gets better for you...I couldn't stand being pregnant, whereas my mom and grandmother both felt their best when they were pregnant...everyone is different! Good luck..and Congrats!!

Like the others, my second son sat really low my whole pregnacy. I had problems with bladder control and accidents (I still do even after 7 years) you can try your kegal exercises. It helps a little bit. I had pain on my pubic bone and reddness and infections. The pain is normal. It's not pleasent but not to worry. I didn't like being pregnant either. I loved the end result but not the pregnancy.
Good Luck and Try not to worry. :)

when I was pregnant with my twins, I had to wear pads and then it got to the point to where I had to wear depends. There was just too much pressure and its true, babies lay where they want :)
I know its not fun, but if you are working, a pad should work, then a depend at night.
Isnt pregnancy fun?
Good luck

I am just under 26 wks preg with twins. I thought I was having bladder leakage from the get go but it was vaginal discharge due to all the hormones. I remember with my first pregnancy I did have bladder leakage at the end and I it was sucky so to speak. I still think I am having some bladder leakage but they say there really isn't anything I can do about it at this time. I wear a panty liner daily and have since almost the begining of the this pregnancy. My boys are a lot lower than my first and always puting pressure on my bladder. I know when they are head down because it is just pressure. With my first and occasionally with these they are feet down and that is a terrible feeling on the bladder and vaginal area when they kick. One of our doc just say it is part of pregnancy and breech babies are painful in that area. I remember with my first I would have to sit often because she would kick me down there and it hurt so bad. I feel your pain, I am sorry I don't have a solution.

Hi C.. My name is J. and I am a nurse. I think I can offer you some assurance. It sounds like this is your third pregnancy. With each pregnancy our muscles get a little more stretched out and a little weaker. This makes it harder to support the baby causing this low feeling and bladder issues. Unfortunatly, it will get worse. Sorry. I could barely walk before my last child was born, so I fully understand your pain!

When I was pregnant with my son, he like to wrap himself around this nerve right down there, and it would go numb. To this day it still hurts me, and go worse feeling each time I was pregnant afterwards. He wouldnt move to save my life and when I would push him off myself, he would wiggle back into that spot. Depends now has some pantyliners for people to leak, which I would do when I sneezed or whatever, and it made me feel better to be in public with it on. It more obsorbant then the period pads. In fact they have a whole line of pads so you dont feel like you have to wear the diapers. I highly recommend them to everyone, and the great thing about them is they are great for all that bleeding that happens after birth too. I wish I could help more then this. Congrats and Good Luck!

My last son sat so low when I was pregnant I felt like I was going to die. He use to sit so low that every time he moved he would hit my bladder and I use to have accidents all the time. It is normal for a baby to sit low. The only thing you need to be worried about is the bladder accidents. I am sure that you are fine and I am sure your baby is fine. As long as your doctor tells you that you are alright I wouldn't worry about it. My son was a large baby because i had gestational diabetis so that made it worse but he is healthy and he sat low my whole pregnancy. He sat so low at times that it would cause my back to hurt so bad that I thought I might have been having contractions. It is an amazing time being pregnant, enjoy it and don't be so worried about it. I know thats easier said than done. I hope all turns out well for you... Good luck!

I had that problem with my son, he was so low so early that I swore that when I was going to the bathrooom he was just going to fall out. I now look back and wish it was that easy. He was very low the whole time. I waited tables during that pregnancy and I had to take bathroom breaks at least every 20 minutes. Sounds like your Dr. is not very compassionate. Even if I said something that my Dr. thought was dumb she would never tell me that. By the end of my 8th month I was just miserable with him because he was so far down there. Im 24 weeks along with a girl now and shes so high up I cant breathe so I just dont get it... They do crazy things in the womb. Good luck!

My son sat so low that i had a bathroom break every 15 mins and I am not exaggerating! LOL!! You know I suffered no long term consequences from it and he was almost a full month late. My daughter on the other hand was very high and was a month early! Plus I didn't push hardly at all with my son maybe 15 mins....So that was real nice!! LOL!
