i really like Bodhi-Mayer

carter is very over-used, but the other ones are nice too

Hi L.,

I like all the names and I think they all sound great with Mayer. The spelling of Bodhi is a little funky for me and will probably be mispelled by friends and teachers. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Nolan.

Congratulations of DS#2!

M.

My brother's name is Wyatt Owen. :) (Our last name starts with a 'w', so his initials are WOW. Which is appropriate, since he was born 3.5 months early...)

I think Nolan is my favorite...
Bodhi is very unique, and I like it too... but Owen, Wyatt, and Carter are starting to gain popularity lately. I know 3 girls who named their sons Carter, 1 other Owen, and (other than my brother) 4 Wyatts...

I think Owen probably goes best with a big brother named Jack.

I also have a Jack! I vote for Owen! I don't like Carter because it's too much "er".

Owen and Nolan are your best of the list, and they sound the nicest with Jack and your surname. The others are so trendy and common and they don't sound as nice or handsome.

I think Owen and Nolan sound best with the last name Mayer. They also match well with Jack.

Congrats on #2!

Standalone, I like Wyatt best. But I think Nolan sounds best with your last name. Also, there's a Wyatt on Super Why, and he has a big brother named Jack. Not that that should necessarily affect your decision.

I don't mind Owen as a name in general, but it is very popular these days. I think I know about ten of them already.

You are going to be saying Jack and ____ a lot. I think that kind of rules out Bodhi because they are so different. I agree that Carter Mayer sounds too repetitive with the double er. Wyatt doesn't sound right with Mayer.

I think Nolan and Owen both work very well with your sibling's name and last name. Congrats!

I think Owen and Nolan sound best with your last name and with jack! Carter Mayer sounds like two many r's, Wyatt Mayer too many y's, and bodhi is just too different from jack and doesn't quite ring with Mayer. I too know a bodhi and their last name sounds more "unamerican". I like Carson instead of Carter if you like that! Or Logan, Hudson, and Ryan.. Congrats!

I like your list of names! However, I don't like the 'er at the end of Carter with the 'er of your last name. And, as much as "Owen" is a great name, there are a bazillion out there.

I knew a Bodhi years ago. I liked that it was unique. Wyatt and Nolan are nice too. :) Congrats!

I vote Wyatt, only b/c "w"s are hard to learn how to write in school from "m"s and he'll get extra practice w/it :)

Bodhi looks like an exotic arabic name to me, if you want to go for that middle eastern look in a name.

Every time I see Carter I always think of that clothing line.

Bodhi is neat, but it seems like a different culture type of name (which if that's what you're going for, then it's great for that!).

If I was choosing a name from the list for my son, I would choose between Owen and Wyatt;-) I think Jack is such a cute name too!

We have quite a few Carter's at daycare, a Nolan (and a girl Nolynn), a Wyatt and an Owen. (and a few Jack's too!) But not a Bodhi - and haven't in the 20+ years I've done daycare! Just in case it matters to you if it's a popular name or a greater chance he'll be the only one. I actually kind of like Bodhi and like someone said you could always call him Bo.

My favorite is Wyatt and I also like Owen. I think Nolan or Carter would not go as well with your last name and sound more like 2 last names together. I think those names go better with one sylable last names. There is nothing wrong with the name Bodhi but it just sounds more like a nickname.
