I am hosting a couple baby shower in early Feb. for our good friends. I am wanting to have some fun games to play at the shower. Do you have any ideas? Thank you for your help:)

What can I do next?

One that I have done that has gone over well is the "Guess which candy bar in the diaper game"

You get a variety of chocolate candy bars and cut them up. Place candy #1 (say Milky Way) in diaper #1
Place candy #2 (Reese's Peanut Butter Cups) in diaper #2, etc.

Everyone gets a sheet of paper with the number of diapers and a pen. Right before you play, you heat the diaper in the microwave just long enough to melt the candy and make it mushy (like what the parents to be will see down the road). The guests can open the diaper and look at it and smell it to help. You can have a prize for those who get the most correct.

Chunky (w/raisins) is a good one to use.

Have fun!

i like the games that are not so formal & that can be done while everyone visits.

1)everyone gets a baby pin when they arrive, if you get caught saying the word "baby" then you lose your pin. the person at the end of the shower with the most pins wins.

2)let each person guess how big around the belly the mom to be is. i like to use string instead of toilet paper so the mom can keep it in the baby book. the person closest to the actual measurement wins. This takes a while to do so it helps to have one of the hosts do this casually throughout the party.

3)let everyone write messages on diapers, like, "#1 0r #2?" or "pfffft..." or "#1 Mom & Dad". That way when they are up at 3 am changing a blow-out diaper, at least they can get a laugh! words of inspiration are also nice like, "keep up the good work" and "i love you Mommy"

4) if they haven't decided on names you can come up with some. some are funny, but i had a friend actually consider one that someone came up with.

5) baby bingo. give everyone a grid with about 16 squares and have them fill in items that they think the new mom will receive. as she opens gifts, people can mark off items. the 1st person with 4 in a row wins. this is great because it keeps people interested during the gift opening time.

hope this helps!!

i like games similar to these because it gives people conversation with those they don't know without breaking the flow of the party.

Hi S.,

One of the games that we have played at previous co-ed showers was mainly for the guys but it was hilarious to watch. You take about 4-5 baby dolls & get a few diapers & some clothes & you tell them that their wife is fixing to pull in the driveway & is just gonna honk cause you are supposed to be meeting her parents for dinner. You have 1 minute to change the baby's diaper & get her dressed. You will get to see which dad works best under pressure & can get the baby changed & diapered the quickest. I hope you enjoy & that this helps.

Partner the guests up, then make them lock one partner's right arm to the other partner's left arm. Then they have to put a diaper on a doll/bear using only their free arms working as a team. Lots of fun!

You can also give everyone one of those small pre-made baby bottles of juice and have a race to see who can drink it the fastest.
