So What Happened?

I am not doing the baby sign because I no longer have time for it anymore. Thanks everyone for your responses and reply's. I would recommend anyone who wants to do baby sign to get a few videos for babys and some books.

Hi I also live in Rio Rancho and I have a two year old and am also going to start taking care of a two year old. Her mom is trying to teach her sign language and I think that this is a good idea. Let me know if you decide to get anything together.

My daughter actually started learning sign at the little gym we go to, we bought a game that teaches children a little about it, she is really well at the words she does no, I would be interested in teaching my daughter more. She is 2 yrs old,so if you get a group together, we would be interested!!!!!

Hi C.,
I do a signing playgroup at the birth center in Nob Hill. BUT, I had a baby three weeks ago and am taking some time off. I might do one in March, but haven't decided for sure. Anyhow, I am not fluent. I take classes at UNM CE, through NMSD and have a former teacher tutor me and my girls once or twice a week. So I'm on my way, but please fingerspell slowly to me!

Anyway, I know it's not in Rio Rancho, but it's something. I welcome infants and toddlers and my kids often come. I usually have a theme (usually seasonal), music, my guitar and often it's just visiting. If I do one next month it'll be a lot of visiting and not very structured! You can check these calendars to see when the next one's scheduled:

If you put one together in your area, I'd love to try to come and learn and share! Please let me know.

Hey C.!
I am definitely interested in teaching Mason to sign. In fact I was looking into the Baby Sign classes at Gymboree, but they are really expensive and they don't teach ASL, which is really what I want him to learn. Let me know if you are able to get a group together and if not, maybe we can just incoprorate a little bit of sign into our playgroup. Thanks!
