Can anyone recommend a good baby sling? With my first child I used a Euro Carrier, but would prefer an actual sling this time.

What can I do next?

Go to KangarooKorner.com and take a look at their adjustable pouches. I just got one last week and really like it. They are made in Minnesota too!

Kangaroo Korner! I used it with my newborn when he was collicky to get him to sleep. I can still carry him in it as an 8-month-old. PRetty simple to use and comfy. Made in Minnesota I think.

www.thebabywearer.com (TBW) has a ton of good information on slings and carriers.

Good brands are hotslings. peanut shell, karma baby. kangaroo korner (there are a ton more). Target.com actually has quite a few to choose from.

The ergo and beco are also great, but they're more structured.

I would stay away from the infantino sling or anything else shaped like that (premaxx, etc). A nurse on TBW did oxygen tests on babies in those slings and actually found the babies had difficulties breathing while in them because of the way they're positioned.

I second the Kangaroo Korner adjustable sling. LOVED it for my second child and wish I had it with my first. The fleece was amazingly stretchy for my winter baby. I picked up a stretchy cotton one for the summer now and while it is not as stretchy, it it far more than any other one that I tried. When looking for the cotton one, be sure that you get one rated "stretchy" on their site--each fabric has a different stretch factor. Good luck!
