I've often seen TV segments showing swimming classes for babies. They always point out that infants can learn easily. Are there any such classes in Stamford, CT or nearby towns, like Norwalk or Greenwich? I might even go to Westchester. My son is 5 months old.
The Wilton YMCA has GREAT swim lessons. My son learned to swim there and my daughter is learning now. I have had a great experience there.
The Stamford JCC has terrific classes for infants and parents to enjoy together. Plus you get to meet lots of other parents. They have a variety of sessions and my kids love to swim from being in these classes from very early ages.

I'm sure the Stamford YMCA offers the swimming lessons for the little ones. I used to go to the Greenwich, YMCA. They have a GREAR new pool now. Or if you belong or want to belong to a health club, I would recommend the New York Sports Club, they have a pool and offer swimming classes.

The JCC in Stamford has swimming lessons. You don't have to be a member to sign up for the classes. They just charge a little bit more.
