Just a quick question about baby teeth. My son cut his two first teeth (the lowers) when he was 6 months old. He's now almost 9 months with nothing else (seemingly) happening in this department. I'm not at all worried or concerned, and I also know that every baby is different and they'll come in when they come in. I'm just curious what some of your experiences were? When did your child get their first pair and what was the duration of time between the first and the second pair of teeth cutting through? Thank-you for sharing!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for sharing, Ladies! We just had our 9 mo. check up today and the pediatrician told us he is looking to cut 4 uppers in the next few weeks! I'm kind of glad they're all coming in at once. I know it might be painful for the little guy, but I'd rather get it over sooner than later for him; it's a one fell swoop kind of thing. Anyway, I like to hear about other people's experiences so thank you again.

My son got his first two teeth around 4 months and they haven't stopped coming! Poor thing has literally been teething since the day he was born! the first two were the bottom front teeth, then some on one side, then the other, then on top, now molars... Needless to say sleep has become a luxury for all 3 of us!

We tried EVERYTHING, frozen washcloths, frozen fruit and veg in food sack thingies, teething toys of all shapes and sizes, topical anesthetics, pain relief drops, lukewarm baths, walks, etc etc etc. The one thing that DID seem to help though was called Dentinox, a sugar free topical anesthetic used by dentists. And frozen teething rings with water, only small ones. The baby sling helped too (Baby Bjorn, thank you we would not have survived the first year without you!).

I sometimes wish he'd had a break between teeth but at least it's almost over! Oh and he's 17 months old now, still has some molars coming through, they're taking their sweet time!

My oldest got his first at 4 months, and had all 16 teeth by the time his 1st Birthday came around. My youngest got her first tooth at 6 months and the second came a few weeks later. She didn't get any more until 11 months and by her 1st Birthday she had 4 on top and still just the 2 on bottem.

My one year old cut her first two (bottom) around 5 months and then cut the top two around 10 months. Nothing since then...but I suspect the molars may be causing her some issues as of late.

EXACT same here. I think it's just the way it goes. My 4 year old daughter had four teeth at six mos. and many more by 9 mos.... oh well!

Same with me she got front bottom 2 and nothing else but 8 months old. Think may have one coming in at the top but not sure.
