I think the websites for Office have some tutorials you could watch to help you get familiar with it. Maybe if you go to a library, you can play around on the computers that have it?
I've been out of the work force for 6 years and out of the corporate world for almost 10. To have a little extra money for saving, I'm thinking I need to get back out there. I've seen a few listings recently for part-time receptionsts. This would be perfect for me, but most of them require working knowledge of MS Office. Since I've been away from coproate America since 2002, I know that the technology has changed. Any suggestions on where I could get a refresher course on what's new in the MS Office and get some practice in it?

Our library and employment agencies offer free classes. Also, the unemployment office knows of places. If you know a mom who needs a sitter, you could borrow tutoring for sitting.
Lynda.com you can subscribe monthly or yearly. It is online tutorials for TONS of different things. Check it out. I learned a lot from that site.
If you know anyone with windows 7 and office 10. Go have them show you it. OR if you want there are the career colleges where you can take classes. Or some communities have computer classes.
A lot of sites have free tutorials, I know adobe does. I'm not sure about microsoft, but it's worth a try. Go on Microsoft's website and see if they have tutorials. I know barnes and noble also has program how to work it books.

Call your public library! I work for a large public library system and our job is to serve the needs of the community. With so many people job hunting, we have started offering tons of computer classes... all for FREE!
How about your local community college? They always offer technology courses. I'm not sure how much you need to learn, but it is an option.
Try your local library or adult education classes. They have tons of things like this. Some high schools even offer adult ed classes in the evenings. It's worth checking into.
MS Office is pretty simple and you'll pick up on it in no time. But it wouldn't hurt to be able to put down that you took a class in it.
Best wishes.
