You have some computer skills, so you have more than some people do. Search online for resume update worksheets - it'll help you figure out the different things you have to offer, some of which you may not be aware of as skills/talents/etc.

Talk to EVERYONE you know - friends, family, former co-workers, etc. Personal connections are the best way to help find work. If you are entrepreneurial, or have thought of working for yourself, you need to find a niche that needs to be filled, or something that only you can do or something that you can do BETTER or differently than has been done.

Hit your library for a book called Business Plans for Dummies - it may spark something for you. Also check out your local community college - they may have classes of interest to help you not be/feel outdated. And they may also have a job placement service as well.

Good luck!

Contact personal connections to see if they know of any opportunities. My girlfriend took a job in a school disctrict as a lunch aid just to get in the door. Take a job you don't want for a while in order to get your foot in the door...then you can apply for other positions later.

Another option would be to do something on your own. I did volunteer work while kids were little and ended up getting a job through that....I really wish I wouldn't have. Everyone was miserable. I ended up starting a home business and treat it as a business and now everyone is happy. I work around my kids schedule and the beauty of is that my office is my mouth...I talk to everyone and my office is always open. If you are disciplined and focused, a home business would be a perfect fit for you.
Good luck
