We will be going on a family vacay to the Bahamas next week. It will be me, my husband, my 13 year old, my 5 year old and my 18 month old. We're not staying at the Atlantis, but will definitely visit there a day or two. Any other suggestions/tips for things to do with the kids given their age ranges? Also, should I plan to bring diapers, wipes, etc. for my 18 month old or can I just buy them there? Any suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I haven't been, but also suggest that you take diapers/wipes and then you can use that room for souviners on the return! And don't forget the swim diapers!!!! and sunscreen! and I would pack some favorite snack too like granola bars, fruit snacks etc....
and one of my favorite things to pack for little ones is a beach ball! super small to pack but blow it up when you get there for tons of fun! Good in the room and at the pool - not so much for the beach! :) Might want to pack a beach bag too - roll it up and stuff it in! and a small floatie thing for your little one.

I haven't been to the Bahamas in many years but I can advise that you bring the diapers and such with you. They will be MUCH more expensive there so if you can fit them without an extra luggage charge bring them along. You don't want to go hunting for them on your first day there.

DO a semi-submarine ride if you can. It's like 1/2 boat - 1/2 sub and you can see all kinds of stuff under water. There's a place called the Fish Fry - it's like a restaurant village and it's where the locals go. Very reasonalbe prices for FRESH food. It doesn't look impressive. It's like small fish shacks, but tasty and a view of the water depending on where you sit. It's a bit of a hike, but you could take a cab. Also, the buses go there - THAT's an interesting adventure. They're not pretty, but they're interesting and very inexpensive.

Packing the diapers is actually a good idea, because I don't know if they are available, but when they are gone, you will have room for souvineers. :)

Have fun!

We were just there in January...LOVED it! You will have so much fun! We were there on a cruise, so we didn't do too much on the island since it was only a day stop for us, but still...it was fabulous!

The sun is hot there - bring LOTS of sun tan lotion. Negotiate for everything else.

I would pack diapers and wipes, anything you need. I'm not sure what kind of stores they have and if they sell those anywhere.

You'll have a great time - enjoy!
