Ballet Class - Dallas,TX

We love Amy's Studio at Forest and Marsh. My 13 year old has been taking there since she was 4. It was formerly JTM Studio and Amy bought it a couple of years ago, but she's been a teacher there forever. Ms. Jackie the original owner (not sure how long the studio has been there but my 32 year old neice took there when she was a little girl) is still a teacher there and is an amazing dancer. We just moved back to N Dallas after living in Plano for 2 years. While we were living in Plano, my daughter - who is now 6 - took ballet at Gotta Dance for 2 years and loved it! Gotta Dance is located on Parker at Custer, so its not far off Central at all if you live near Central. I have really been contemplating moving her down to a studio back down in Dallas, but when I asked her if she would care if she was at the same ballet studio or if I put her in one closer to home, she was very very serious that she wanted to be at Gotta Dance! It was actually really cute - she said she would miss Miss Geneva (her teacher) and Miss Cindi (the owner) way to much to leave. :) The dance studio is also home to the Professional Dance Company - Plano Metropoletin Ballet.

I don't know how far north you are, but a friend of mine, who was a dancer at SMU started up with some other dancers from SMU (quite a few years ago) an excellent studio in Lakewood called Contemporary Ballet Dallas. They also have a Professional Dance Company as Well by the same name.

I can highly recommend either. Have fun!

My daughter who's 5 goes to Preston Center School of Dance just south of NW Hwy at Preston. She loved this year and doing it again next year.

Also have heard good things about Amy's School of Dance at Marsh & Forest - think it's much cheaper than Preston Center.
