I am shopping for a baptismal outfit for my son who is being baptized early July 07. Want to find something nice that won't be too expensive. I reside in the Lewisville area, so something close by would be most convenient. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So What Happened?

First, thank you to all the mothers who responded so promptly and graciously to my message. It was my first time using this site and it definitely paid off. There were so many great suggestions and I was able to locate and purchase one at Burlington Coat Factory(the one located at Grapevine Mills). It is a perfect little white baptismal short set that I know will work great for him in a few weeks. Thanks again.

Have you looked at Once Upon A Child in Flower Mound? It's on Main street at 2311 CROSS TIMBERS #317. I bought a beautiful dress my my little girl for my brother's wedding. The wedding was postponed, so I had her wear it at her dedication, and got lots of comments about it. I haven't snooped around in the boy sections too much, but I have a friend who has a little boy, and she's found some great affordable outfits for him there!

Good luck!

There is a store next to Sam Moon (635 & I35) that has the most beautiful dresses for girls and outfits for boys that I've seen AND they're cheap. Don't know the name of it, but if you are standing in front of Sam Moon looking at the store, it'll be to your right a few stores over. My mother and I were just window shopping one day and wandered in there. Plus...after that you can go to Sam Moon for a fabulous purse! :) BONUS!

Happy Shopping!

I don't know how close this would be for you but it would be worth checking out. A store called Small fry in Denton has a wonderful selection and really resonable prices.
Hope this helps

Check out TJ Maxx and Ross. I was just there and they both had outfits that would work. Good luck.

Hi there, I'm not too sure what exactly you're looking for, but I found www.dressmeupcute.com while trying to find a tuxedo for my 13 month old son and took the chance on them. I paid $25 + shipping for a tuxedo short set (in polyester) and boy am I happy, VERY HAPPY. I ordered it Saturday and received the package on Tuesday. It looks just so cute on my little guy and the fact that he's only wearing it once doesn't hurt my pocketbook either. They have GREAT customer service and if you're not happy, they will work with you. Take care and have fun!

My boys were baptized about 8 years ago so this advice may be outdated but I got the traditional white gown at Babies r Us.

Good luck!

I would check Dillards, Macys, and even Burlington Coat Factory (I know there is one in Denton by the Golden Triangle Mall). Babies R Us is also a great option. There is also a childrens boutique at Parker Square on 1171 if you get desperate, but it should not have to come to the expense of that with all of the other places that have them. Enjoy the shopping fun!! ~A.~

Babies R Us in Lewisville usually carries some. I also like that they have some things there that can work for Baptismal outfits, but are also regular enough that they can also be used as regular Sunday nice clothing. I got something like that because I couldn't stand the thought of paying good money for an outfit he'd wear for a couple of hours and never again!

We bought our son's baptismal outfit at JCPenney. It was a little satin short outfit. Very cute! That was four years ago, so I don't remember how much it was.
