Bath Time Crayons/ Paints

They are tough to get out of the grout. My nieces got them as a gift and my sister "lost" them pretty quickly after they were open because her grout (including the floor tiles) is tie-dyed now!

My son had a blast with rubber duckies, little "squirt" toys, cups and a suction cup net that attached to the tub with little basketballs to toss in. All of the above are dishwasher safe and "chewable"... not so much with those bath crayons!

The crayons don't come off the grout easy at all! At 15 months, do very simple toys, like a rubber ducky and a plastic cup. Very simple, very cheap, very easy to replicate if you are away from home (hotel, overnight at someone's house).

I made my own with baby shampoo, corn starch and a drop of food coloring. Its not great for artwork, but its fun to smear around. You can google "home made bath paint" to get a recipe.

They do melt if they fall in the bath water, so don't let them sit in there for more than a few seconds. They are very easy to clean off the tile and grout if you do it quickly, but don't let it sit there. Make sure everything is wiped away by the end of the bath and never leave it overnight.

I like the color tabs that change the water color more than the crayons... but i did find the markers worked better than the crayons when we tried them. Avon has ones that are like "bingo" markers and the kids had fun with those at my sister's house. I try to keep bathtime business first party later honestly - not a ton of bath toys here.

My daughter did some lovely bathtub art....came off the tiles super easy, stayed in the grout forever. It did eventually all come out, but took a looong time, like a few months.

I only got them once, but if my husband would have been better and helping clean it up we may have gotten more. It's a lot of scrubbing for one person.

EDIT: The one my daughter had broke pretty easy if she pressed to hard, so they didn't last very long.

The Crayola Tub Crayons feel just like normal crayons.
Never had an issue with them leaving permanent marks on our tub or surround. (Magic Erasers work well with removal.)
Never used the paints.

We got the paints for my first son and I hated them. They were messy and supposed to come out easily and they just got used up in two baths. The crayons marked up the tub and I really had to scrub to get them out. I say, no to those and just get letters that stick (my boys LOVED those), cups, scuba divers and other fun things they can play with.

My MIL bought my daughter some bath paint for Christmas and I never let her have them because it said on the box that it might stain grout - I immediatly took that as USE THIS PRODUCT AND YOUR TUB WILL BE STAINED. I mean if its on the product package I would tend to think that you are screwed. We plan to wait for the warm weather and use them outside on something instead
