Bathing Suite for the Flawed "Mommy" Body?

Where can I buy the best bathing suite for my flawed mommy body. I am overall a thin person but I have that blasted lower belly pooch from having three 9lb babies and I need a bathing suite that hides it without it looking like an old lady bathing suite. I like the ones in the lands end catelog but I don't like buying something without trying it on first. Are there any Lands End stores around here? Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Okay so I went to the Vista Ridge mall and the Sears there had Lands End Bathing Suites. I tried them on and I LOVED how they fit. They cover all the flawed spots and enhance all the good parts, however, I didn't feel like paying $52 for each piece. I went to Dillards and found a really nice bathing suite with a skirted bottom and a long halter top. It looks really good and hides all my problems yet still looks stylish. I paid $39 on sale for the whole suite and it was originally $85!

I bought several swim suits from Lands End and what I decided I did not like I took back to Sears and got most of my money back.(expect for the one I kept) Sears does sell swim suits from Lands End because I was there yesterday trying to decide if I should buy a spare suit or not.

Dear L.,
I have ordered 2 "flawed mommy body" bathing suits from Lands End the past 2 summers and have been thrilled with them both. This summer I ordered one for my teenage daughter and it just came in..perfect fit, too. We do double take our measurements to make sure we've got it right and the suits have worked out beautifully.

I know Sears sells **some** LandsEnd stuff but I don't know if swimsuits are included so maybe call around and see first. Also, with LandsEnd's 'model' and size recommendations, you may not need to try it on. I got one online from them very recently and their rec was right on!

Target has some really cute tankinis. They still look vute and don't scream "mom". They also aheva cute mocha two piece that has boy short bottoms that come up a bit higher on the belly and also have a little tie belt that helps hide the belly. I got both kinds this year from Target!

Hi L.,

Any of the swimsuits in the "tankini" style should be just what you are looking for! The tops are longer and cover the belly. They are always my top picks!

Good luck!

Hi L.,
Greetings from a fellow Corinthian! LOL Anyway, to answer your question, I was out swim suit shopping because we bought a family summmer membership to the Denton waterpark so I needed something that would hide all my not so little imperfections, too! I went to Kohl's which is south on 35 at the Valley Ridge exit just a few miles from us. I chose a suit that had the tank top with the cute skirt bottom. I was worried about looking sort of old fashioned but imagine my surprise when we went to the waterpark last Tuesday and MANY of the moms were wearing the exact same style! It definitely made me feel much much better - LOL. Anyway, mine was on sale for about $45. I think Sears does carry Lands End stuff but not sure if they carry it in swimsuits. Happy shopping!

I highly recommend Lands End, Sears has some suits, but I just ordered one and they have a sizing chart online and if you measure yourself the way they suggest it will be perfect! they also have an "overstock" section and the suits are almost half price, that's what I did and I love it!!

I have a Tankini that I love. I went to the mall and tried on so many different suits and they all looked horrible. Then I went to Everything But Water and got a wonderful Tankini. It did cost a lot more that I planned on spending, but since it was the only darn swimsuit in the mall I liked, I splurged. I actually feel GOOD in it now!
