Beagle in Need of a Loving Home

Due to some unforeseen circumstances our family will no longer be able to care for our dog, Bella. Both me and my husband are working full time and have little time to care for her, so we feel the best thing is to re-home her with a family that has time to give all the attention she needs. (She was abused before---if you yell she will lower her head and if you raise your hand she will lower head.) She is 2 yrs old FOR us this March, give or take a few months, very energetic, can be barky, paper/crate trained, but not trained any other way. She is great with other dogs and loves kids, she wrestles with our 6 yr old. never bites or growls at anything, when confronted by other dogs she cowers behind your legs so you can tell this is a very sweet dog. please serious offers only, we will give her crate, dishes, toys, harness, collar, and her leash. She is pretty much up to date with her shots, (again money issues kept us from being able to continue giving her the care we were once able too) there are a couple she needs but we were told by the vet it was ok, as long as she got her important ones. She also is used to at home grooming and grooming service providers like Petsmart.

I know that life sometimes deals us unforeseen circumstances and I appreciate the fact that you are trying to find your dog another home. However, I urge you to find a way to make it work. This poor dog has been through so much already. Do you really think uprooting her from the family she knows, loves and is beginning to trust is doing right by her? We all do whatever it takes to accommodate our work schedules and our children, but when it comes to pets the same commitment is not extended. Your dog is a member of your family. Would you give any other member of your family away because of unforeseen circumstances? I urge you to find a way to make this work. Perhaps if you ask family/friends for assistance they can help. I have two dogs and they are alone all day (from about 8:00 - 5:00) and do just fine. Remember, dogs are very adaptable. If you provide them with love and attention they will give back to you tenfold. You made a commitment to this dog when you took her into your home. Please honor it.

Hi C.:

Are you looking for someone that works part time?
I'm just curious because I'm interested but I work full time so I am trying to figure out what exactly is it that you are looking for your dog.
I am a single mom and we just recently lost our beloved dog ( a little adopted dashund that was our joy) so I have been considering to get another doggie since my son desperately misses having a buddy to play with.
Anyway, let me know what you have in mind.
Thanks,

Please please please be extra careful who you surrender your dog to. I can tell you countless numbers of stories where the family dog is given up to the wrong home. Bait dogs for dog fighting rings are common, and also pet abusers are very commonly accepting unwanted family dogs and cats, taking them home and doing unspeakable things to them. If you don't believe me, I can send you the stories from petabuse.com to prove it.

Please do a full check on the family, a home check, etc.

Please tell me if this is a pure breed beagle, where did you get her from? I had a beagle for 11 years and lost her due to cancer about 3 years ago. I want to get another one and we've been putting it off. I just lost a Yorkie about 3 months ago due to diabetes. It's truly heartbreaking, they become part of your family. This is why we've been putting it off. But.....you say she was abused, where did you get her from? A little more info please.
