Hello all, I am looking to get a stroller for my 8 monther. I would like to spend not more than the $150 range. Do you have recommendations from what you use? What do you think of used strollers??

What can I do next?

We had a GRACO stroller. We sold it to Once Upon A Child. That store is a second hand store that sells good used gear, clothing, and toys at a very low cost. I found this store in Litchfield. :-) Our stroller was in excellent shape. They will not accept accept gear, toys, or clothing that are falling apart, so I would trust that store if you're looking to buy used. :-) In fact, I'm pregnant with our second baby, due in August (four years down the road here), and I just may go by that store and see what all they have. Glad you asked this question, because now I realize I had forgotten about it, and it will help me out so much financially! :-)

Take care, and hope this helps.

I have a 3-year-old and a 1 year old (just turned one on 4-14) and I have experimented with many strollers. It seems as if you need different strollers for different things you may be partaking in. However, overall I think the best stroller I have found is my jogging stroller (even if you do not jog) --- I LOVE IT! Lightweight and the wheels are large so it is easily moved around. The kids also think it is comfy.

We got ours here at babierus and you can choose from a variety. I took both my kids to the store and put them in it and pushed it all over the store to test it out. I absolutely love the one we have it is Baby Trend Expedition.

Good luck to you

L., I have an extra one you can have if you want. It is a Chicco and is nice and comfortable. I use a smaller, more lightweight one now that my little guy is getting older and no longer need this one. Send me a private email if you wish and we can arrange how to get it to you.

We switched from one of the bigger strollers, travel systems to a combi that folds up like an umbrella stroller. We love it! It is worth every penny. It has been durable and lightweight and great for traveling. And most importantly my son loves it.

We are on kiddo number three. With my first 2 we had graco strollers. We were traveling and the airline broke our graco. I bought a Chicco Cortina stroller and has been fantastic, worked when she was little and still works well at 3 years. We had a problem with a wheel and the customer service rep wasn't sure the new wheels would work, so she sent us a new stroller and told us to keep the old one for parts. This is a nice full size stroller that doesn't weigh a ton, folds nicely and the kiddo is comfy and safe.

Hi L.,

My kids have log since outgrown thier stoller but when they were little I found that an umbrella stroller was so much more ideal than any of the others out there. One of my concerns was space and for some reason those larger more luxurious stroller took up my entire trunk!! I happened to find a really great unbrella stroller That actually had these wing nuts on the sides of it that allowed me to tilt the entire chair back if my child needed to nap while we were out. The brand name was AVALON. I looked it up for you, it's an AVALON RECLINE UMBRELLA STROLLER. I think I paid about $40 for it and I got it one of those second hand clothing stores for kids but the sroller was brand new. I absolutely loved this stroller and it held up nicely too. We've actually broken a couple of umbrella strollers and this particular one outlived both of my children's need for it.

Used strollers can be great. Places like Once Upon a Child might have better screened ones. They let you "test drive" and I would smell them too...for any funk. But the nice thing about new is you can return more easily if stroller is not working out.
What type suits you depend on where you usually go. Need to make lots of tight turns? Narrow shopping aisles? More ability to move around may be better than lots of storage etc.
Generally, you get what you pay for. A little more $$ spent can make life easier.
