Best Way to Sell Baby Equipment

I am ready to move out a large inventory of items from my daycare. I am trying to determine the best way to go about this and am wondering if anyone has any tried and true tactics. Yard sales are one though, but I want more than $2.00 for my double stroller. I don't have any experience with eBay and would like to know if it's easier than it looks. Thanks in advance. www.daycaredish.com

So What Happened?

Wow! So, craigslist looks like the favorite response. I will give it a try and let you know how it goes. Thank you to all.

My husband and many of my friends have used craig's list. I think it is easier than e-bay and the people will come and pick-up the stuff.

If you are near the Bridgewater area in MA, they have Keeping Pace with Multiples. You can call and see what the rates are for taking your items as they sell items at their boutique.
The are on line and in the phone book.

Craigslist is a great way to reach people if you are not EBay savvy. I am actually considering opening a family day care and having another child. I am not considering the child, she is coming next week! If you have a list of inventory or some pictures, I would be happy to take a look!

Try craigslist.org. I've sold tons of stuff, including baby items, there. It's quick and easy to post items.
Good luck!

Dear J.,

To add to the suggestions on using Craig's List: You can post items as well as announcing a yard sale. If someone commits to purchasing something before the yard sale, you can arrange to have them pick up the item an hour or two before the yard sale. That way you don't have to deal with several appointments to look at the same item. Though generally if you post enough info + pictures people do buy what they see. YOu can also mark items "pick up only" to be extra clear.

Good Luck,
A.

Craigslist is definitely the way to go. It's easier than eBay but you have to deal with people one-on-one. (sometimes a bonus, sometimes not) http://boston.craigslist.org/bab/
