The way I remember is to put the pills by my toothbrush so every night before I go to bed when I brush my teeth I remember to take my pill. If you put it near something you do every day you won't forget it. I like taking it at night alos because I use to get sick from the pill but at night it doesn't bother me anymore. I hope this helps.

My trick was to have it beside my sink in the bathroom...right next to my toothbrush. I popped the little pill after I'd brush my teeth in the mornings and off I'd go.

I agree to put the pills in a place that you go everyday. I have mine on the table so when I eat dinner, I take it!

I keep mine right next to my toothbrush since brushing my teeth is the first thing I do every morning.

My solution to that same problem was Mirena (the new & improved wonderful IUD)!! LOL!! But in your situation...I think putting them on your alarm clock...cell phone... It's funny how hard it is to remember to take a simple little pill every day!! Good luck!

My daughter keeps them in her purse and has her cell phone set as a reminder every day.

I recommend leaving the pack in plain sight out on the nightstand next to your bed. I leave mine right next to my alarm clock, so as I get into bed and set my alarm, I see them and remember to take it.

I used to keep mine on my night stand so I would remember to take it every night before going to bed. Put it somewhere you will see it EVERY DAY!

Do you have a cell phone with a calendar that allows you to set recurring events with an alarm? That's how I remember meds, an alarm goes off at 9:30 every morning.

Like another mother has already said, I set my cell phone for 7:30 p.m. because in the pass birth control has made me sick so I need to take my pill with a meal. Dinner is something that I know that I am going to eat with my family. It has got to the point where my family says "Mommy it's 7:30 take your pill" :) I hope that this helps

I use to use my cell phone. I know that some cell phone have where you can place a reminder about things for certain time on your phone. I used this method because they say that it is best to take the pill everyday at the same time. That really helpe a lot to remember taking my pill every morning. Hope this helps

I always try to take my pills when my hubby gets home from work at 5:30 every day. Try to think of something you do every day and take them then. Even if you shower every day at the same time, put your pills in the bathroom. Or if you have a certain feeding time every day for your son. Just take them the same time every day.

Another vote for the "next to the toothbrush" suggestion. Even if you forget for some reason at night you'll remember right the next morning!

I kept it near my toothbrush, since that was something you do every morning and night, it will always be there.

I was awful at taking my pill on time let alone everyday. After I had my son I decided to get the mirena IUD. I don't have to remember anything and I do not get my period. It has worked great for me. It lasts 5 years. They have some that work 10 years and 2 years as well. It all depends on your needs. Explore your options beyond the pill. Good luck

I am on the Nuva Ring (seems to be working pretty well for me) for the reason that I would always forget to take my pill, but I do agree with the woman about the breast cancer. My goal is to have my husband go and solve this issue as I am a strong believer birth control plays a large role in breast cancer. My mother had breast cancer at the age of 38 and died at 42. I remember my entire childhood that she took birth control. If you can do anything other than birth control I would recommend it.

Sheila, the only tip I can give you is to forget to take the birth control pill if you want to be around long enough to see your child become an adult. Why do you think that the number of women developing breast cancer is on the rise? The pill and all the other birth control methods are abnormal, and our female organs react to these foreign matters going into, or objects being put into our bodies. I realize your concern of getting pregnant so soon after birth, but the safest way is to study your ovulation cycle and us that. That is the safest way. Good luck to you.
