We're made to have periods for a reason...when you mess with nature it can come back to bite you. I ended up in the ER thanks to birth control pills. I had prolonged bleeding when my body didn't shed the uterine lining like it normally would through a period, and it was a very scary event for me, so I can't imagine what not having a period would do. You haven't had any problems obviously so that's a good thing, but I'd start digging deeper for research, even outside the tradtional medical field. You may ultimately decide to stay where you are, but you at least deserve to have the full story and be fully informed--any doc who says it's ok for women to not have periods via artificially surpressing them--when we've been designed or evolved or whatever--to have them, isn't fully informed. There's a reason why periods happen...to rid the body of the uterine lining when pregnancy hasn't occured. I'm proof of what can happen without that happening properly.
On the other hand, there is something called Maya Abdominal Massage that can really help with bad period symptoms and with endometriosis, fibroids, etc. I've had it done in the past and it's helped me a lot with conception, mood swings, etc. If a body isn't balanced, then horrible symptoms and problems can occur and Mayan Abdominal Massage (or Arvigo Mayan Abdominal Massage) can really help.
