Has anyone been to or had a birthday party at McCormick-Stillman Railroad park? I am looking for a place to have my son's 4th birthday party in Feb and I was wondering if anyone had any comments on the parties at this railroad park. Thanks for any suggestions or comments you can give!

Hi, A. -
I haven't hosted a party there, but have attended a child's birthday party held there. It was great, and all the kids loved it. You can get a private ramada for the food/cake, the kids can play on the big playground, and they all get to ride the train. Again, all the kids seemed to have a ball!

I have been to a birthday party at the train park, in fact, it was this past February. My children had a wonderful time and I did as well. The ramadas were away from the crowds, so you didn't have to worry about your child wandering off and getting lost in the crowd. Our friends had pizza, a pinata and balls for the children to play with. It was a very relaxed party and when we were done with all of the 'regular' birthday festivities everyone headed over to take a ride on the train and carousel. We really did enjoy it and I would highly recommend having your party there!

Hi A., I haven't read any of the responses, so I apologize if any of this is a duplicate. We had my step-daughter's 5th birthday there and I coordinated it. We loved it! It cost around $60 for the party. Cake was not included. It does include ice cream and drinks for up to 20 kids. It may also include a train ride (if not it is only $1 per kids). There is still great room for parents of kids and family members to watch the festivities too. The party is scheduled for an hour and a half. They have games on a lawn playing with a parachute and other fun kid things. We really loved it and would recommend in a heart-beat. The ony downside was the location. We live in Mesa and so does most of the friends and family that attended. There was some construction on the 101 that people were not 100% prepared for. You can imagine the dilema for a birthday party that is very scheduled! Let me know if you have any questions.

A.,
If you can have your son's birthday there do it, especially if he loves trains like my son does. We had my son's 5th birthday there this pasy April and it was awesome. They will host the party in a train coach that is air conditioned and the staff will do several games inside and outside with the children. We live in Apache Junction so I was a little worried about the drive for the guests. Afterwards everyone told me that the drive was well worth it because the children had so much fun. You can't beat the price. It's cheaper than Chuck E. Cheese & Peter Piper.
