I think the easiest thing to do for a park and probably alot cheaper cause you can buy it in bluck is hot dogs and hamburgers and chips. Or a pasta salad. its simple and easy and kids love them both. Good luck.

I might throw in some fruit. Grapes, strawberries, blueberries are good or even cut up watermelon or apples.

We always do cut fruit at my daughters' parties. We do red, yellow, and green apples, oranges, and grapes. Just cut it all up and throw it in a bowl and squeeze some lemon juice over it to prevent it from discoloring. The whole thing costs about $5-7. The kids all love it because it is colorful and they can eat it with their fingers. They finish the bowl off every year.

Sounds like a good idea. You may also consider offering some fruit as an alternative to cake. Also, make sure you have beverages, especially water bottles, or get a big 2 to 5 gallon cooler and fill it with ice water.

Tacos can be inexpensive, give them the opportunity of adding their own toppings, or ice cream sundaes that they can place their own items on top. Hopefully, the party will be outside in case it gets messy.

It depends on the age of your child. I can't imagine any child that would rather have a tamale than pizza. Finger food is the way to go. Any thing they can pick up and walk away with that they like will be a hit. Fried chicken, quesadeas (spelling?), pizza, finger sandwiches, fajitas, whole dill pickles are good ideas.
