My son is turning 7 this year and I could use some ideas for his birthday party. We might go to chuck e cheese but was curious of cheeper ideas, possibly at home. His birthday is in February.

Thank you

What does he like?
Is he into Super mario Bros Wii games, like my 7 yo? If so, what about an at-home Wii tournament/party with good old fashioned balloons, pizza, cake and ice cream, chips and pretzels? Might be a welcome change from all the über-theme parties!?
IME, boys of 6-7- and 8 just want to hang out & get goofy--ride go karts, play games, swim, run around.....

My idea isn't at home but we are having my daughter's 7th birthday party at an indoor bounce house next month. She is so excited!!

Rollerskating party (A local church where we live has rollerskating for cheap!)
Ice Skating party (my son's favorite - he's 6)
YMCA party
Swimming party at local pool
One year we had a "fire fighter" themed party and all the kids took a tour of the fire station. They got to sit in the trucks and the firemen did cool demonstrations and fire safety.
Good old fashioned at home party with games and prizes is always fun but so exhausting!

Start with what he loves and go from there. Then use google to get some ideas based on the theme if you'd rather do the party at home. Have fun!

I'm not a fan of Chuck, but it's certainly an easy party!

I would do something around his interests... you don't say when his birthday is, so it's tough to make specific suggestions. I know that the children's museum where I live does an awesome birthday party! My son has gone to several there and you pay a flat rate for access to the museum "after hours" with a party room. You bring your own food and paper goods, so you can control the cost. At the last party, the parents ordered a bunch of pizzas, juice and a cake. The kids had a blast and the "goodie bag" was a canvas tote with a dinosaur painted on it with a little book inside. It was great!

You could also call your local minor league sports team... many do kids' parties during the off-season.

Ask him! What does he say?

There is always bowling, Pump it Up (or similiar), go kart racing, pizza place, your home.
