My son will soon turn 5 and I've been trying to plan a birthday party for him and a small group of friends (probably about 8 children total). We're living in a very small apartment, so I'm trying to get ideas for locations to host this party. It doesn't have to be too extravagant, and I'd like to be able to provide the cake, but so far I don't have any real possibilities. please let me know of places to look in to (or places to stay away from)! Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

We had my daughters party at Metzlers Gymnastics in Downingtown, just off of Route 30 after the shopping center with BJ's. They have a website think it's Metzlersgymnastics.com, google it just to be sure. They let you bring food and invite up to 12 kids for about $150...I just took cupcakes, juices boxes, popcorn and the little dixie cups of ice cream. It was just enough and the kids liked it, i had it at 1:30 so the kids should have eaten lunch. My dauther just turned 8 and her and friends loved it.

I also did build a bear at the Springfield Mall but I had limited it to 5 girls plus my two children and increased the price some, they had a discount if went a little higher. Then I took them all next door for ice cream only at Friendlys...they liked that too.

YOu could also look at the Y in West Chester or I think there is once in Lionville depending on where you are. Good Luck and have fun!

Hi, I just had my daughter's birthday party at Build a bear workshop! We had so much fun and all the kids got to make a bear for $10! Then go to the food court and do the cake there. It is usually not that crowded during the week and before noon. I had the Mom's and kids come back to my house for lunch and cake and we made shirts for the bears at home.
Good luck!

Hello K.!
We had my son's 7th b-day party at The Palace in Downingtown. The kids had a great time bowling and it wasn't very expensive. The offer pizza, drinks, and a party helper.
This year we had his party at Bounce U in Exton. It was a bit more expensive, but it was extremely fun!! They have private party rooms that you can rent out for a little over an hour that have a ton of inflatable things to play on. They give you 2 helpers who get real involved with playing with the kids. They also offer pizza and drinks or a sandwich tray and drinks.
Other than that, we had a party a couple years ago at a park, but we lived in Texas then. We paid a small fee to rent a pavilion, we brought our grill out and BBQed while the kids played on the playground. We had a pinata and had a "dino dig" in a small plastic kiddie pool filled with sand. The kids had small shovels and dug for dino toys in the sand, they loved that!!
Hope that helps you out a bit!
Good luck and have fun!
