Has anyone hosted a birthday party at Little Gym? If so, do you recommend? I'm considering a party for my soon to be 3-year old girl. Other suggestions are welcome.

Hi W.,
Little Gym, Pump It Up & Khol's Childrens Museum have fun parties, but they are on the expensive side. Skokie Exploratorium & Chuck e Cheese party's are fun & a little more affordable. When my son turned 3 we had a park party. We chose a park that had bathroom facilities & tables. We brought lots of snacks & served pizza & cake. We gave each kid a sand pail & shovel to keep (part of their goodie bag). All the kids had a blast & it was so affordable. If I were you, I would wait to have the expensive parties until she is 4 or 5.

We had my daughter's 3rd birthday party at the Little Gym & everyone had a great time. They are more than accomodating. Besides ordering pizza & bringing in the cake I didn't lift a finger. They really made my daughter feel like it was "her" day. I'd do it again.
Happy 3rd Birthday to yours!

we had our daughter's first birhtday party at little gym (she's been going to classes there since she was 4 months old, so it made a lot of sense as she knows the staff, space, routine, etc).

it was FANTASTIC! they did everything for us (would have sent invites for us had we not invited the entire world).. set up food, provided paper plates, cups, etc... i think they provide juice for all of the kiddos. best of all, the did all of the clean up... even helped us get presents and left-overs into our car. they were really engaging with all of the kids (ages ranged from 10 months-4 years) and knew all of their names w/in 2 minutes. very impressed and totally worth the money.

We had my daughters 4 year old bday at Little Gym in Glenview and it was great. We have also been to parties there for 2 yr old and 3 year olds. They do an amazing job of keeping a big group of young kids entertained. And they do everything for you except buy the food (we ordered pizzas and brought a cake). They even cut the cake and served it. It is so easy and so low maintenance. I am sure the chicago location would be similar, I highly recommend it!

I had my son's party last year at PUMP IT UP!!, and all the kids loved it too!! I have to start planning his 4th now, and I'm looking for places too. They host parties at Gymboree (not sure where you live, but I think they have 3 locations). I called to get a price, and it was comparable to what I paid at PUMP IT UP.
