Hi D. - Body Wraps to work, but only temporarily. They are more about getting ready for a special event than everyday long term.
Has anyone out there tried doing the body wraps. They claim to help with reducing cellulite, stretch marks and sagging skin. After having twins, I have all three. If you have done this, did you feel that it worked? Let me know what you think. Thanks

It was very relaxing, but did not reduce me at all.
I used to work for at a salon that did body wraps while I was going to college. I am now a PT and practice lymphedema therapy too (for swelling). The body wraps may make your skin smooth and provide nourishment, but as far as reducing cellulite-I don't believe there is any way. The wraps compress your tissues and move the fluid but the fluid will re disperse slowy after the wraps come off. I wish I could be the bearer of better news--If they worked I wouldn't have cellulite:) Some of us are blessed with the gene that gives us more cellulite than others.
D.,
I am a licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Esthetician and I do a few different wraps in my shop.
There are different body wraps that do different things. Some reduce celulite, and some that remove toxins, and some that reduce water retention. And shile all of these can help you, moderating your diet and exscise to work with the wrap and your lifestyle is key.
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me.
Thanks!!

I have tried them, only temporary results. Spend your money on a gym membership or new shoes instead. Both will have longer lasting results.
Good luck!
doesn't do that at all in my experience - but does feel nice and relaxing (in some environments) if you're not claustrophobic
Body wraps are absolutely fabulous. However the results of having one like toned skin and the reduced appearance of cellulite are all temporary usually within anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days and everything is back to normal.
But they feel great and are worth it in my opinion. Usually you pick from a mud wrap or a seaweed wrap. I have had both and preferred the seaweed wrap.
A good wrap usually starts with a dry exfoliation ( if the technician uses the exfoliating gloves then you are in for a real treat. I swear these things are one of the best inventions ever). They apply the mud or seaweed mixture all over your body then wrap you up in warm sheets or something else depending on where you go. I have heard of being wrapped up in saran wrap but have never done it myself.
After you have been laying wrapped up for a bit usually 15 - 30 minutes the technician will then wash off the mixture with warm water. If you are lucky you then get a massage using whatever type of oil the technician uses. Lavender Essential Oil is a popular one mixed with a carrier oil like Apricot Kernel Oil or Shea Oil again it just depends on who you are working with.
After having one you should drink lots of water to help flush the toxins from your body just like you would after having a massage.
Body wraps do not reduce the appearance of stretch marks unfortunately.
D., I had a roommate in college who was an estitician and she gave me a couple body wraps, and I agree with what others have said. A body wrap helps flush toxins from your body and will reduce water retention, but it is only temporary in that you need to rehydrate your body. So, while it would help reduce some sagginess, I don't think it would completely give you the results you are looking for.
They do feel great and you feel great afterward - it always got rid of the little extra back roll I have from my bra, and makes you feel a little more svelt for a few days. But, if you do get one, be prepared to be mostly naked (wearing only paper panties & bra because you don't want the cream they rub on you to stain your underwear) and being rubbed down by someone. :)
Good Luck!
I did use body wraps years ago. It seemed to help....they were a wonderful herbal product that she used, wish I remembered the name of it...not sure still in business. Whatever is used -make sure it's organic because whatever is in the herbs will absorb into your skin :)
Best wishes,
Liz
