Hi Ladies,

My son loves Dr. Seuss books but they are so darn expensive! Anyone part of a subscription book club? Do you like it? Which one do you use? I looked on Ebay and they do have some for sale but I'd really like for them to be in nice shape if I'm going to pay for them. Thanks in advance!

So What Happened?

Thanks for the advice ladies! I actually had forgotten about a site called Half.com (a sister site of Ebay). They have books for .75 cents and such. I think I'll check out that resource. I do rent from the library but they don't carry all the titles, and I'd really like to own them.

You didn't ask this but I am going to throw it out there anyway. Go to thrift stores for books. At good will or salvation army stores kids books are a quarter. regardless of author. garage sales are also a good place to look. We go to the second hand stores about twice a month and load up.

Do you have a Half Price Books near you? Or any other used bookstore might be nice to check out; sometimes you can find some great deals there (plus you can see it for yourself before you buy it).

Go to the library ;) OR, I love Amazon.com for buying books... used, they're dirt cheap! I have a dedicated buyer who buys boxes and boxes of our old books, mostly children's books, who turns around and sells them on Amazon for pennies on the dollar.

Stick with the Dr. Seuss books....they're a great learning tool. Not only did my kids begin with them....so did all of my nieces/nephews!

Can't you just check them out at your local library?
