I'd like to get a book (preferably one that I can load on my Nook) that explains to toddlers that their bodies are their own and what inappropriate touching is and all those kinds of things. Do you have any recommendations? My daughter is 3.

FYI- We're not having ANY problems I just want her to know and understand what's appropriate.

What can I do next?

This is a good, short picture book on the topic:

Your body belongs to you, by Cornelia Spelman

It talks about how only Mommy, Daddy & your doctor are allowed to touch your private areas (as in, covered by your bathing suit), and that you don't always have to or want to hug/kiss/etc. people, even if they want you to. (At least, that is my recollection; we read it over the summer, so my memory is a little fuzzy). Our library carries it, and we will be getting it out multiple times over the next couple of years (he's in preschool now).

'My Body Belongs to Me' is a good one that we've been reading to my 4 year old son since he was 3.

Hi, K.:
My concern is trying to teach a 3 y.o. inappropriate touching may backfire.
At this age, a child needs alot of attention, hugs and kissess. I would wonder if the child would misinterpret healthy nurture vs inappropriate touching.

Just my thoughts.

Also, John Walsh (America's Most Wanted host) made a good stranger-danger video with the Center for Missing and Exploited Children - Safe Side? Something like that.
