Just follow behind the camper in your vehicle. when you get to your destination you can still camp with grandma and grandpa.
My parents bought a 1978 camper. The kind you drive with two bucket seats in the front and then a table with bench seats in the camper area, but there are no seat belts anywhere except the front buckets. What do I do with my 2 2-year-olds? Any ideas? I've heard that you can have seat belts installed but my Dad says that it's against the law to do it yourself and I can't imagine what that would cost anyway. Thanks ladies.

I guess you'd have to look into installing the seat belts or follow in your car behind like the other posts said. Sometimes I wonder how any of us survived growing up without seat belts.
I used to work at an RV dealership. Most of the old motorhomes do have seat belts. Take the cushions off and lift up the wood bench seat. There is usually some equipment such as a furnace or converter or water tank under there, but look around for the seat belts. If they are not there, it is not illegal to install them yourself or you can have a dealer do it. They only have to be screwed into the floor. Have fun! It is a great way to travel with kids!
This is a long shot, but we didn't think ours had seat belts either. My husband recently put in a new tile floor, and was taking things apart when he realized the seat belts had just been tucked in behind the table seat. You may have to take the cushions off to find them.
Thats a tough one. I would probably end up driving behind the camper with my car and just enjoy the fun of the camper for sleeping and all that.
You can have seat belts installed, call a few dealerships and see what they charge. And I don't think its against the law in that situation... my husband installed the seat belts in the 1952 Ford truck he is restoring.
