Hi, I'm interested in getting bigger boobs. Haha, it's funny saying that. I've always just been ok with my body and really taken care of myself exercising. I had never thought about getting implants before and grew up in a family that has the mindset that you shouldn't change the way you are through cosmetic surgery (unless of course there is an extreme circumstance, ie: accidents etc). I thought this myself but after having my daughter Dori I have really begun to hate my body. I have terrible stretch marks after only one child and I'm only 24:( I want to take back myself and feel confident - and still enjoy what it's like to feel sexy and young! Anyway, my question is, if anybody knows, if I want to have more kids in say 5 or 6 years, will I still have the ability to breast feed? Any advice, stories or suggestions would be great. Thanks ladies:)

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for your responses! I'm still gathering information and probably won't do anything for another year but I'm thinking it might be the right move for me. Thanks again:)!!!

There is a breast augmentation where they put the implant under your chest muscle, and not directly under your breast fat tissue. There should be no problems with breast feeding your child with this kind of implant, but you will definately want to ask first. Make sure you get a saline filled implant, they are safer. Make sure when you pick your doctor that you look at MANY of his before and after pictures, so you not only get a realistic idea of what your 'after' pic might look like, but also a more acurate idea of the ability of the doctor you are going to. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT go to the hershey med center for this. they may wait till you are all drugged up and then have you sign something for a student to do one implant...this happened to a friend of mine, you definately do not want a student, and you also do not want 2 different people doing separate surgeries on your boobs that I am sure you want to match evenly!!! Also do not go to any doctor that was there during 1999. my friend had an awful problem with her doctor, and her surgery turned out just as awful.
If you do a google search, you can even find videos about what happens during your surgery, and the different kind of surgeries available. I think something called the keyhole and the lollipop are popular right now.
ABSOLUTELY MAKE SURE that you are completely put under and anethsetised, not just under a local or twilight sleep. My friend had hers done that way, and she kept waking up, and it was the most painful, scrutenizing most horrable thing that ever happened to her. they had three nurses holding her down, one on each arm, and one at the top of her shoulders, and as she was screaming for her doctor and the student doctor to stop cause it hurt so badly, the nurses told her it would all be over soon and would be worth it. Well, the surgery takes quite some time when you are aware of all that pain, and although she likes her boobs, she said that nothing would ever be worth having to go through that again.
good luck with your boobs, I hope you like yours as much as she does!

Hi K.
I am 25 and I am actually about to go through with the surgery. I have done a TON of research. There is no study that says 100% of women can or can not breast feed after the surgery. I am still planning on having one more child but I am going to get the surgery before I do. Just know this is no PERMANENT fix. You have to go back in about every 10 years and have them redone. They might bust and then you have to go in and pay to have them fixed. Mamagrams are very hard to do with implants and they might not find cancer b/c of them. Also know that if you do have them done before you have kids they could "bubble" up when you get pregnant and they grow so you can actually see the implant in your breast. Just please do your research before you decide to have them done. I have wanted them for a long time. I was a 34AA before I had my daughter and grew to a 36C small D when I was pregnant and never got milk and now I am back to a 36A. My main reason is just to make me feel better about that part of my body and also to proportion my body out. Just go to google and type in Breast implants and pregnancy or just breast implants and read all the info you can. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. ____@____.com

yes you will be able to breastfeed, but would it be better to have all the kids you want to have and then to get all fix up?
I am 24 also and I have 3 kids(4 1/2, 2 1/2, and a 5 month old baby) we are thinking about 1 more baby and then we'll be done.
that's when I am planning on getting all back to normal. I know how you feel, but everytime that u feel down look at your sweet baby and trust me, you'll feel way better.

As far as I know... I'm not a DR or anything...

Yes, you can get implants and BF... I've heard you have to make sure to tell them so they're more gentle with you.

Here's something else you may want to think about though. The few ladies I know that had implants then had a baby ended up needing surgery to bring everything back up where it was supposed to be! If you plan on having more children you may just want to hold off until you're done having children. But that's jsut me!

It's wonderful carrying a baby and bringing a new life into the world, but it's very frustrating see how much our bodies change and stretch as new moms. I am 34 and have 21 month old little girl and quite honestly, it's taken me close to 2 years to get my body back to some semblance of where it was. I'm FINALLY now back into to my pre-pregnancy clothes. I, too, had some stretch marks that thankfully weren't that bad, but nevertheless are still there. I can tell you that for me, the stretch marks, while still present, are A LOT less noticeable than they were before. The reason I mention this is because I would recommend waiting on any plastic surgery for at least another year. Surgery is a big deal and I don't think it's a good idea to do anything too drastic when you're still adjusting to being a new mom, your hormones are still trying to level out and your body is still trying to get back to normal. Obviously the decision is yours, but I can tell you that for me, if I had had surgery during that first year, I would have regretted it. Good luck!

K.,
My most famous saying is "Children are a full time job that brings a lifetime of rewards and blessings." I say this all the time when I feel down about my body. My family is a lot like yours. Although we do have several that die their hair. My body has drastically changed over the years... Before children I was a small size 1 with a 34C and weighing in at 116. I had my appendix removed 2 years before I got pregnant. So, my stretch marks are beyond belief. As my husband says.. I look like I have flames on my stomach, from the normal stretch marks and then from the scars stretching and causing even more stretch marks. After 3 children, I am a size 8 and 140 lbs with a 36A. I do think about getting new girls all the time, but I do not want to go through the surgery. I can tell you my little sister had the surgery done. She was not even a A and she went to a full D. She did try and breast feed, but was not successful at it and also had to have surgery afterwards to move everything back into position. They thought they were done having children when she had the surgery, but another one came along and well, there ya go! It cost her $7000 to get the surgery (same day in and out procedure) and $4000 to get them fixed.
I agree that Research is key! Know what kind you want and shape and everything else that is involved with it.
Good luck with it! I can tell you that as far as your family, they will probably not respect your decision! I had to tell several family members to get over it and support my sister. Especially the ones who cut their hair, shave their legs, die their hair or even diet. I told them it as the same exact thing as getting new boobs. They just chose a different form to change what God had given them. I also told them that as or bodies being temples... we needed to take care of them and if getting new boobs gives you more confidence and security and makes you feel better about yourself, then how better can you take care of your body!!!

If it really concerns you and is hurting your self esteem, maybe meet with a highly recommended doctor to discuss the options to improve your appearance. Maybe surgery is not the answer, maybe there are other ways to correct the stretch marks, etc. If surgery is suggested, maybe there are things to be done that are more minor, without augmentation.

As far as the breast feeding, I would consult the doctor for the right answer.

I know it's hard to be changed by such a beautiful experience. Having a child is a blessing, but the results on our body is heck. I myself would love for my breasts to be where they used to be before breastfeeding my children, but I can't bring myself to go to a doctor about surgery. So, I keep moving forward and realize that I'm lucky to have my body, and to love it, because it's my battlescars, so to speak, of love:)

I feel for you! I am 23 and have stretch marks. The rest of my body is fine, but I would like to wear a bikini again. I'm not sure on the breastfeeding part, but if you get any info on how to get rid of stretch marks, or good docs to go to for it, please let me know as well!
