Breastmilk can be stored in the fridge for up to 8 days, so I would think storing there for 3 and then freezing would be fine.
Once frozen, it can be in the fridge for 24 hours.
Good luck!
I will be leaving my baby that will be 9 months old in September for a weekend. I have frozen milk for him while I'm gone. I will be pumping when I'm away and will be able to keep the pumped milk in a refrigerator. If that milk is kept cold for 3 days, can I then freeze it when I get home? I would hate to lose all that milk.

I used to freeze milk I hadn't used in a couple of days and then thawed it later for DD. If you can't use it when you get home, then I'd freeze it, but put the original pumped date on it.
I wouldn't freeze it. It goes bad faster in the fridge, recommended length in the fridge is only a week. I would start using that milk when you get home and the pump and freeze those feedings at home. Then you know the milk is still good and not have to worry about it starting to turn.
I'm sure that would be fine... but I'd use that milk first once you return home, just in case! If that's not possible - then go ahead and freeze it as soon as you get to a freezer!
I agree -- milk refrigerated for three days will be fine for up to a week, but I'd use it as soon as you get home rather than freezing it after it's been sitting in the fridge for three days. Is there any way you can freeze it while you're away?
1st - Congrats on sticking with it over the weekend away...
2nd - I agree that is you can get to a freezer, do that, if not then try to use it as soon as you are able when you get home and if not able to use right away, the freeze it when you get home
Enjoy your trip!
I think so. I used to pump milk and refrigerate it. Then i'd take it to the NICU and when he went home i found out they had froze what they didnt use.
