No, if anything an increase (more than one day) in nursing would cause you to miss your period, not spot.
I'd wait to see if you get your period in the next few days rather than freak out about it before you have cause.
I nurse my 15 mo old 2x a day and he doesn't nurse that long (15 min total?) so I don't know how much he gets or what I am producing these days, but here is the situation... He has a bad cold, so in order to comfort him and try to get more fluids in him, I offered him/he nursed more often yesterday... Maybe 4-5x? Instead of just 2. Today was more back to normal... Maybe one extra session. But then this evening, I found spotting in my underwear. I am on day 25 of my cycle...last 2 have been 28/29 days. I am FREAKING out that it is implant bleeding. Hubby and I are not trying to conceive but are only using withdrawal but only intercourse 1x a week, if that. However, I am wondering if the spotting could be due to the sudden increase of nursing sessions yesterday?? Advice please!! I also have endometriosis, have never had spotting before, but was always on the pill... Help!!!

Pill usually makes you pretty regular. Baby makes you irregular. Now you have a baby & your OFF the pill. Your hormones are probably goin nuts especially with the extra nursing. Wait til you should start and if nothing take a test or whatever to put yourself at ease.
I had this specific problem when breastfeeding my second baby. I was about 8-9 months in and weaning but had increased feedings on my days off from work. Then would notice spotting specifically when I "pushed" to have a BM or use the bathroom. Thought maybe I had hemorrhoids or same as you that I was maybe pregnant again but turned out a few weeks later to be the restart of my regular period.
From what you said you are not on the pill right now? If you know this please ignore my advice, but it sounds like you don't. Having intercourse once a week can still get you pregnant. Most women ovulate about mid-way through their cycle. For example, My cycle is always 26 days. When we were trying to get pregnant I found out that I was ovulating on day 13 or 14. The best time to get pregnant is the couple of days surrounding ovulation. So for me the best days were days 12 - 15. If you and your husband don't want to get pregnant (without using birth control) you need to find out when you are ovulating and aviod sex during those times. There are other signs of ovulation so you don't have to take a test...Google it and you will find all kinds of info.
Good luck!
Breastfeeding is only somewhat effective as birth control if your baby is less than 6 months old. If you don't want to be pregnant you need to use a more reliable form of contraceptives. There are many great options just talk to your doctor.
