So it looks like I may be giving a bridal shower for a family member within the next 2-3 months. Do you have any ideas on favors, food, decorations, etc.?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Food:
Main-salads, grilled chicken, pasta side dish
Appetizers-TGIF spinach dip (you'll need at least 3) served w/precut
sourdough slices, mini quiches (in froz section of store. Love these), sliced cheese: smoked gouda, cheddar, pepper jack served w/crackers, sliced sourdough bread, sliced salami, shrimp w/cocktail sauce
Desserts: cake or diff cookies from the bakery, big cheesecake from Costco pre-sliced in thin slices.

Decorations: 1 cute plastic stork for center piece on main food table, favors could be baby bottles filled with either pink or blue jelly beans depending upon baby gender, streamers, balloons filled w/helium tied around room you will be sitting in, white garland, little white lights on a fireplace, table or outside if having it outdoors.

Games: guess the baby's name, the clothespin game: you start out w/a clothespin but lose it if you cross your legs. One w/the most clothes pins wins, diaper the baby doll (not a fan of these silly ones but thought I'd throw it out there), have little prizes (Starbucks $5 gift card etc)

Have fun. Oh and plenty of drinks: sodas, bottle waters, champagne punch

Depends on how many people.. And what time..

You can hold it after lunch and just serve chips and dips or cheese spreads and crackers.
Cake punch and coffee

Or do a Happy Hour type shower with virgin and regular Margaritas.. and
Mexican snacks.. Queso and chips, Flautas, etc..

Or an afternoon desserts and coffee. Assorted brownies, mini cupcakes, cookies, chocolate, fruit tray.. Iced tea.

Italian with a veggie Lasagna and a Italian Sausage Lasagna. Salad and bread sticks.

Beautiful flower arrangements (costso sells beautiful flowers) and candles. Framed baby photos of the mom and dad and their children that are already here.

I had a bridal shower for my best friend at a tea house. It was so fancy & beautifully decorated, we didn't really have to do any decorating. The menu was all set and we had a nice private room for the shower. It was very nice! Do you have any place like that?

I just threw a bridal shower that I am still getting rave reviews over! My friend gave me the idea... she had heard about it somewhere and I decided to try it. I did a Mashtini bar.... It was a chafing dish full of 20 pounds of mashed potatoes and all the fixings... grated cheeses... from parmesian to cheddar, gravy, sour cream, chives, butter, cream cheese, salsa, bacon bits, etc..etc... you get the idea. I ordered colorful plastic martini glasses that you can wash and use again or throw away and did everything with lots of colors. I had been wanting a really good icecream scoop so I used the party as an excuse to finally buy one for myself cuz you need one of those iceream scoopers that have the little thumb thing to release the potatoe scoops into the glasses to make perfect scoops... It turned out to be quite a hit! Picture on my facebook:
