Did anyone else see the news clip on NBC 5 the other night saying that they tested car seats for toxic chemicals and one of the 3 worst seats was the Britax Marathon 70? Of course that is the car seat I have for my son! I've tried to find other articles but haven't seen anything. Should I be worried?

I just read the article from the link below. It only mentions 2 'styles' or colors. Marathon Jet Ski and Platnium
I'm not worried about this. There are toxins in EVERYTHING -- mattresses, vinyl flooring, etc. Your cell phone emits toxic waves. Physical safety in a car seat is KEY -- I want to know that in an accident my child will be as protected as possible. To me it looks like the safest car seats (crash ratings) are also the most "toxic." No contest for me.
hmm, and I was going to buy a Britax next week! Keep us posted..

I saw that too! I have a Britax too and I got it because it was supposed to be the safest. I was going to post this question...thank you. Did you wash the fabric?
