Hi M.,
I have a Graco video monitor and am pretty pleased with it. It is actually our second, as the first one got damaged when my daughter accidentally got hold of it. It has a decent picture, gets very little interference and comes with a rechargable battery. The battery life is pretty decent, and I keep it plugged in at night to keep the charge up.
I also love that it is small and clips to my belt like a cell phone, so I can wear it while I move around the house doing chores.
After the first one broke, I purchased a different brand - MobiCam.
I DO NOT recommend the MobiCam. While the picture quality is a lot better, it gets interference from EVERYTHING! The static is atrocious, and kept me up at night. I kept the MobiCam so that I could use it in other rooms of the house, if I have a need, but it drives me crazy with all the static.
Also, it interferes with my cordless phone, so everytime I am on the phone, the monitor doesn't work.
Also, it takes 3AA batteries and the battery life is less than 24 hours. You literally will always need it to be plugged in or take out lots of stock in Duracell.
Both monitors were pricy - $150-$200, but in my opinion well worth it. You can find the Graco monitor on-line - just Google "Graco Video Monitor"
Good luck!
C.
