I keep hearing great things about these games the problem is I'm confused on which one to buy for my 3-1/2 year old daughter. I'm looking for a game that can be played with two or more players. It looks like there are numerous Cranium Carboo games out there. I did a little bit of research and it looks like maybe the Island Treasure Hunt and/or Hullabaloo is what I'm looking for? Does this sound right? I didn't realize there were so many options!!! Are there any other preschool games under this line?

Any help would be much appreacited =0)

Added: Are these games just about teaching colors, shapes, number, and letters (because she has those down packed) or are they fun beyond that?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for the comments. I ended up going on Amazon.com and checking out the reviews. The Hullabaloo game sure is a popular one it had something like 236 reviews!!! It looks like a fun one and gets them up and moving, great for a wintery day. I plan to puchase that one. I also noticed that they have another game called Balloon Lagoon and it looks promising as well.

I decided not to go with the Carboo (original or Island Treasure Hunt) because after reading the reviews it would appear to be way too easy for my daughter. I say she is 3-1/2 but she is actually closer to 4 and is pretty advanced with the preschool concepts. Another reviewer said it was too easy for their 4 year old - even the advanced version. I'm looking for something that can grow with her a little more than these treasure hunt games although they do sound cute.

We have the majority of the other games that were suggested here that's actually why I was looking into the Cranium games as a change of pace =0)

Oh and Luicia, thanks for mentioning the Pictureka game! I forgot about that one. A friend had suggested it and I meant to buy it. I'll add it to my list =0)

Funny, my 3yo son just brought me the cards from my older kids cranium cadoo game. I had to explain that the game was for the bigger kids. I'll be watching your post to see what others suggest. Right now, he loves Candyland, Cootiebug and Pictureka.

Island treasure hunt and Hullaballoo are both great for her age - they are about letters, numbers, counting and shapes, but even if she knows them, it is great fun and for reinforcement.

Hullabaloo is perfect for that age. My daughter LOVES the Caribou game, but it might be a little advanced for your daughter. May be a good purchase for the 4th birthday. Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders and Hi Ho Cheerio are also great ones. You could even try to start playing UNO if she knows her numbers and colors. Try some matching or memory games. They have them in just about every character known to man. My daughter loved playing that (although some of them come with so many cards in them that we would pare it down and use about half....otherwise it was just too many for her to remember where they were).

Have fun playing!

We have both, and I would say Hullaballoo is much more fun! My girls are 8 and 11, and STILL enjoy this game as much as their preschool cousins.

My son got the Cranium Cariboo Island (the treasure hunt) game last year for his third birthday...we LOVE it. It still gets played all the time. It does tech colors, counting, and letter recognition. But you can switch the cards to make it more challenging if you need to. And there is no winner. You are working together to find the treasure, so there has never once been any fussing, fighting or pouting with this game. The kids all love it because they use a key and get to "unlock" the boxes We love it.

My kids love Hullabaloo and Cariboo. Hullabaloo is about listening to directions and being a little silly. Cariboo is a little matching with letters, numbers, colors...and has harder cards for when they are a little more advanced.
