Daily I find myself grabbing my cell cause it's always close. But I use my digital camera when I care about the quality. Also, I print out photos (with photo paper) to put them in photo albums or frames.
I find myself snapping more pics with my camera phone than my cell phone. Its like all of the really cute pics are on my camera phone. I just tried to have them printed and they all were blurry! Guess I'll make a picture cd. Which do you use mostly, Camera or camera phone? Have you ever had pics printed on your camera phone? Did they come out clear?

The best cell phones have about 3.2 megapixels, the best affordable point and shoot cameras have about 16.1 megapixels, so a camera will take much more detailed and better pictures. I would get a good small camera and keep it in your purse. My fave is this one:

It is the lens that is most important.
I think in 2 years I've taken 3 or 4 pictures with my phone. I have an awesome camera, and am VERY picky about the quality of my photos. If I don't want to keep them, I wouldn't take the picture to begin with. So, camera, all the way. :)
Rather unfortunately, my iPhone has more pixels than my DSLR. (My iPhone has 8 megapixels)
But my DSLR takes FAR better shots, and far more of them. Lenses, baby, lenses. Also processing computer, aperature, iso, etc.
I have about 10k per year on my camera, and about 1500 per year on my iphone.
((I was going to be getting a nikon D3S... (like the DX3 but waaaaay faster; designed for sport/action rather than slower targets ;) this year to replace my knock about not tellin' nikon... but like many things, that money went to pay lawyers this year. AND that camera won't be happing this year or any other. I still have hopes of picking up a 300S next year which is a solid camera at 1/3 the price, though, if things don't stay totally pearshaped.))
What's a camera???? LOL.
Since I got my Samsung Mesmerize with the bigger screen that I can actually see the pictures I am very happy with them as a general rule.
I do feel that we should not do everything digitally though. I do like to pick up a scrapbook and open it up to see text and photo's arranged in a pleasing way that shows creativity and love.
A camera has film that gets developed and you have actual photo's. A phone takes the pictures and allows you to share them, post them instantly, all kinds of bonuses, I just miss the actual photos so much sometimes.
Camera pics do usually turn out blurry. I've been so disappointed that key pics looked bad.
Too bad - it's harder to carry around a camera than a cell phone!
Dawn
I'm lost - you mention camera (1) then camera phone (2) and then cell phone (3).
I'm going to assume you meant camera when you stated "more pics with my camera phone than my cell phone".
Anywho - a ton more with the cell. I'm a parent of 2 under 2. I don't have time to find the camera... :)
CAMERA!!! The pictures I take on my cell phone are the pits! Plus, now that I had to switch phones I can't get the few pictures that are on there! And I have a few of my parents (both gone!) that I can't get and I want to print them so desperately!!!!
I have a small digital camera that I almost always carry with me - I take pictures ALL the time!!! And now I'm in the habit of downloading them onto my computer on a weekly basis so that if the technology goes away for this particular camera, I still have my pictures!
Good luck!!
I find that my digital camera is much more reliable and easier to use when it comes to taking awesome pictures. I try to keep it with me or put it in the car's glove compartment. I will use my cell phone in a pinch but definitely prefer my digital camera when it comes to capturing those special moments/memories.
My Android takes great photos and my ipad takes fair photos. I use the ipad almost everyday for photos of merchandise, designs or instructions for my employees or clients..
But we still need a real camera for published photos or good photos at night.
Ha. I have this predicament all the time, so I know what you're saying. I will try to take pictures with BOTH - a couple pics on my phone that I can quickly message/email someone, then better ones on my camera so that I can print those out for frames or to send to the great-grandparents.
I have not tried printing the pics I take with my phone.
