Hi, is there anything I can use to get ink pen out of vinyl or leather. I don't know if it's vinyl or leather but there's writing on it, in ink pen, and I need to get it off. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to use? Thanks, in advance, to anyone who replies.

What can I do next?

Try some lemon pledge or a little olive oil and lemon juice (not too much lemon juice). Just rub gently in the area where the ink is and wipe off.

Our husky got an ink pen and chewed it on my ivory leather sofa once.
My husband tried EVERYTHING!
Just start trying stuff: hairspray, alcohol, nail polish remover, goo gone......
I forget what finally worked but he did get it off and it was with stuff we had on hand....

Sometimes hairspray will remove ink on cloth, and sometimes it just liquified the ink and then you have to wash it quickly. Since hairspray seems to dissolve the ink, perhaps it will work on leather. Although I am not sure what would happen to the leather, it may dry out.

When I used to have Coach leather bags (before kids and washable cloth or parachute material lightweight purses) they would sell you a leather cream with the bag. I found that the plainest cheapest Vaseline Intensive Care would work exactly the same as the super expensive Coach cream (leather was a cow's skin after all). So before you try the hairspray, maybe try a cream on a Q-tip, dip it frequently to get lots of it on the leather (or just squirt on a bunch). If the Q-tip is too soft to "scrub" the ink off, try a small soft children's toothbrush. Then wipe the whole area down with a soft cloth and some more cream, whether you remove the stain with cream or hairspray.

Another thing that is amazing is Shout, but more for getting weird things out of clothes. I got chewing gum out of polartech that was completely embedded out by squirting it with Shout stain remover and then picking at it from around the edges with a sharp knife point very carefully. A few fluffs came with it, but the majority of the gum released its hold on the polartec with the Shout liquid.

Let us know what worked when you try the suggestions.

First, you need to determine vinyl or leather then look for appropriate cleaning product. Local shoe repair place can tell if it's "real" leather, pleather or other, and probably have cleaners they would be happy to sell to you. Or if you shop with Carol Wright, ABC, Lillian Vernon or other catalog (and online) companies you can order the right stuff.

Murphy's oil soap works like a charm on fabric. Never had the need to try it on vinyl or leather, but it might be worth a shot.
