we go to the South Lake in Maple Grove and Dr. Bachelor is fabulous! My youngest is 5 and he's been seeing her since birth and he loves her. they also have evening appointments which is really convenient and the staff is all very friendly.
I am due in a few weeks, and have been looking for a pediatrician. This is our first child. Since we are not originally from MN, we don't have anyone to ask for a referral. Can anyone recommend a pediatrician in the Maple Grove/Plymouth area? I was looking at possibly going to South Lake Pediatricians in MG? I would appreciate any advice I could get.

My good friend and neighbor takes her 3 kids to South Lake Pediatrics and has been very happy there. Other friends of mine take their kids to Partners in Pediatrics off Bass Lake Road. I used to take my kids there but now have switched to Park Nicollet Clinic in Maple Grove, only because my kids are getting older (16, 14, 9) and it's easier for us all to go to the same clinic. I was happy at Partners in Peds when they were younger. Congratulations on becoming a mommy! It's the best thing in the world!
We have a great one your way.
Partners in Peds- couple offices out your way.
The main number is ###-###-####
We usually see Greg Savitt- but he travels to other clinics you might not want to. We've seen 2 others for vaccinations and they are all great. This office is right off 55 and 494.
About me 47 yo med. prof, wellness coach and mom to 7yo twin girls.

I take my daughter to South Lake Pediatrics in Maple Grove. She sees Dr. John Paulson. He was recommended to us by another friend. He was voted as one of the top pediatrician's in the Minneapolis/St. Paul magazine last year. We've been very happy there. I like that they have extended hours during the week (they are open until 8 pm) and you don't have to make an appt. for minor illnesses/injuries.
We love Dr. Tonya Bryan at Park Nicollet in Plymouth. She is very good with the kids, treats me with respect, answers all my questions, and is quick to get back to me if I call the office. She stays on top of any and all concerns and is very thorough. The kids love her too.
We go to Partners in Pediatrics in Uptown. They also have a clinic in Maple Grove. Check them out: pipstop.com is their website.
I have three kids and have taken all to Partners In Pediatrics. There is an office off Bass Lake Rd in Maple Grove. I use the Brooklyn Park office because I like Dr Cantor and that is where he practices(well, there and Uptown, but I hate trying to find a parking spot in Uptown). The Maple Grove location is also open for weekend appointments, and evenings and does not require an appointment for emergencies. This way if your child gets sick you can count on them to see them and not have to go to an urgent care.
Our son is now 16 months old & we have been using Dr. Merkel in Maple Grove & have been very pleased, especially since this is our first, & as first time parents, we've always got plenty of questions & every change in our babies seem to be peculiar. He's officed out of the new bldg where the hospital is going up off County Rd 30 (9825 Hospital Dr., #300). Not sure where you will be delivering, but I delivered at North Memorial & Dr. Merkel did all of our son's check ups there & his circumcision. Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck! =0)
I've taken my kids to Partners in Pediatrics since we moved to the Twin Cities almost 10 years ago. They have an office in Maple Grove, Plymouth, Rogers, Uptown, and I think another one too. We've seen several doctors there -- a few whom we really like -- Dr. Greg Pflaster; Dr. (?) Meier and Dr. Sue Mahle. The MG office is off of Bass Lake Road and 494 and the Plymouth office is in the West Health Building. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I've had nothing but good luck with the entire office. Good luck!!!
Ps -- oh yeah, I don't remember what hospitals they serve, but I think its pretty much all over. I deliver at Fairview Southdale in Edina and they are there.
We love Partners in Pediatrics. Our usual office is Brooklyn Park, but the nice thing is they're linked so after hours we have gone to Maple Grove as well. We love Dr. Sprenkle, but have seen others that we like as well. Check them out:

Dr. Cindy Howe at Partners in Pediatrics. She can be seen in Plymouth or Maple Grove. Love her, love the clinic. The nurses are great too.
Simone S. referred me to Partners in Pediatrics, and we couldn't be more pleased. We see Dr. Mahony in Rogers, but we've also seen Dr. Fatima while Dr. Mahony was on maternity leave. I've visited one of their lactation consultants in Brooklyn Park and have had to take our little one to the Maple Grove office on a Saturday morning.
The staff is friendly. The office is bright and colorful - very kid friendly. They do a monthly information session and tour for new parents - if you're interested, visit their website at www.pip-stop.com or give them a call. Good luck to you with your baby!

What an exciting time for you!!! I take both of my kids to Pediatric Services in St. Louis Park. It may be further than you want to drive but the doctors are great! Dr. Steven Inman is our pediatrician and he's great! He is thorough, nice and takes the time to call you back if you leave a message. This is a nice option for me as I would rather talk directly to the doctor vs. having a middle person. I've also worked with Dr. Hobbs and Dr. Harrington in the same practice and have been just as happy. For lack of a better term, interview the doctors as it's important for you to feel comfortable with them. And you are trusting them with the most precious thing in the world. Good luck to you!!
Hi A.,
I live in Maple Grove (off Maple Grove Parkway) our 4 month old son goes to Partners in Pediatrics. There is a location in Rogers (763/428.1920) and Maple Grove (763/559.2861). We have been really happy with them. Our son noramlly sees Erin ____@____.com Maple Grove site has "Ready Care" basically an urgent care that is open from 8-8 most weeknights and on the weekends from 8-1:30 (or so)! The ready care was great, they were fast & effcient. When I have called in with questions I've always gotten a call back very quickly w/helpful information. My son has seen 3 different providers there and we have loved them all. Hope this helps!

I live in Plymouth/Maple Grove and I go to the Partners In Pediatrics on Bass Lake Road. My pediatrician is Carolyn Soberg and I think she is great! She is very down to earth, understanding and easy to talk to. Also, the clinic has walk in service all day, into the evening and on the weekends. As a working mother, this has been terrific! Hope this helps.
We bring our toddler to South Lake Pediatrics. There are clinics in Maple Grove and Plymouth. We have been seeing Dr. Segedy since his birth. We really like our doctor and the clinic! We have used the Saturday appointments and walk in service during the week and Saturday. Another thing to look for if you are planning to breastfeed is a lactation consultant in the clinic. At all South Lake Peds clinics the Nurse Practitioner is a lactation certified counselor. This was very helpful as a new breastfeeding mom. You can make an appointment to interview and meet the doctors here while you are still pregnant.
I take my son to Dr. Paulson at the South Lake Pediatrics office. We really like him. Plus they have evening and weekend hours which is convenient. I would highly recommend.
(They also let you do there shots on an alternate schedule--meaning you don't have to get them all done at one time--which was important to us.)
DR. Codin-Festin @ Park Nicollette in Plymouth is great. I really like her. She has been my daughters ped since birth. Iam expecting in dec and I want her for the next baby too.
Hi A.,
I know you've got a lot of responses, but I just wanted to add that we also take our twins to Partners in Pediatrics. Our home office is Brooklyn Park, but the Maple Grove location is the one that's open on the weekends.
Awesome staff, I highly recommend. www.pipstop.com. Just make sure to schedule the wellness checks a month in advance of when you really want it.
Congrats and good luck!
No time to read the rest but I bet you've been told about Partners in Pediatrics in Maple Grove. LOVE them!! They have Ready Care which acts like an urgent care every day (even weekends) and I love all the doctors there. My ped is Dr. Bach but there are several great Drs there. When my first was born, we just made each apt with a different doctor until we found one we liked. Good luck!!
I LOVE Partners in Pediatrics in Maple Grove. We've been happy with all the doctors we've seen, but my favorite (the one my youngest sees regularly because of his asthma) is Dr. Cindy Howe.
The Ready Care is wonderful and the nurses are very kind.
We LOVE Dr. Scherer at the Allina Maple Grove clinic.
