If you go to www.car-seat.org...you can post your question....tell them what vehicle, what the ages/weight of the kids and they'll give you the best scenarios....there are certain boosters that puzzle together better as well as skinnier carseats (like the Radian by Sunshine Kids)...the folks over there are very helpful and it's a quick sign up procedure.
