I HATE to cook... It's not that I "can't" cook- I just don't enjoy it. Those who love cooking always give recipes they say are "easy" but to someone like me who hates to spend time in the kitchen, any recipe that includes chopping stuff up and measuring out a bunch of spices and ingredients is not any fun for those of us who just want to plop something in the oven or a sauce pan and call it dinner! Hahaha! So... anyone have any truly easy recipes that doesn't involve tons of time in the kitchen and your kids love it???

Taco Soup- My family LOVES tacos but I get so tired of eating them. This is a great alternative and takes about 2 minutes to put everything into the crock pot.

Taco Soup
1 can vegetarian baked beans
2 chicken breasts
1 can chicken broth
1 can corn
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can black beans
1 packet of taco seasoning
1 packet of ranch dressing mix

Pour everything into the crock pot and serve in 4-6 hours

Breast of chicken (skinless & boneless) marinate in dressing - 20mins. I have a few favorites, (sundried tomato, or italian) then stick it in the oven 350 for about an hour. you can also cut it up into strips or nuggets for kids.

a variation to this is that after you marinate it, bread it in italian bread crumbs and bake it about the same time as above, like chicken fingers without having to fry it.

Eazy breazy :)

My kids eat this chicken Salsa recipe and it is beyond easy.
Chicken-how ever much your family usually eats.
1-2 packets of chili powder (depending on how much chicken, 1 is usually good for 6-7 pieces) degree depending on your family as well.
1-2 jars salsa (again degree depends on how hot you like it)
1 can corn,
1 can black beans
1 bag microwavable spanish rice

Throw everything in a pot, cook/bake @325, or on med stove top until chicken is tender.

Iserve with sour cream and extra salsa. Sometimes I serve tortilla chips if I have them.
My very picky boys love it.
Good Luck,
L.
