I had a Mazda 6 wagon when I found out number 3 was on the way. We made it work for a year, and then got a Nissan Armada. HOLY HEAVEN!! The space was amazing, the fussing stopped, everyone could breathe, very worth it. I would honestly consider getting a bigger car.

Even if the older ones are in boosters, those take so much more room than just a body.

Congratulations!!!

While I get that you don't want to buy a new car? I would seriously consider looking into a minivan or something bigger. Your kids will be CRAMPED in the back of a Liberty.

I don't know how hold your kids are either - do you have one in a booster seat and the other in a "car seat"? Helps to have more information.

If it were me? I would go for a bigger car - you will need the space!! Do you really want your kids to be FIGHTING for space?

Congratulations on the pregnancy!

Congrats! You really need to look at the Diono Radian R100 (formally Sunshine Kids Radian). They are narrower seats and pride themselves on being able to fit 3 in a row. I have had 4 kids in the Sunshine Kids/Diono for over 6 years now. I love the product. They are extremely safe seats. The Diono Radian R100 can be used rear facing, forward facing, and converted to a booster for kids up to 100 lbs. I would highly recommend. I was recently in a car accident with one of their seats and insurance agreed to buy a new one for my 4 year old. I purchased it on wayfair.com and it came in like 2 days with no tax and free shipping. Here is the link to Diono if you want to check them out.

Good luck!

Take your car to Babies R us or BUY BUY Baby and see what ones fit.. That is the best option.

First - CONGRATULATIONS!!!

How old are your other kids? When I used my parents' high back booster seat (the kind that is ONLY a booster seat) I was astounded at how much less room it took than my car seat that was also a booster. That might be one way to save room if any of the kids are old enough for just the belt positioning booster.

Sorry - That is all I've got!

The Diono Radians are great! We had to swap out the Britax seats we loved for the Radian. Works great, gave us a ton of extra room to fit 3 across.

Some cars will not fit 3 seats no matter what brand you use. We have a Toyota Sienna minivan and the Sunshine Kids (now Dinoco) seats. When my third was born my other 2 were still in boosters so we had to Monterey high back boosters and the Radian 5pt harness seat rear facing. These are among the most narrow seats on the market that are still very safe.
They fit in the middle row together but it was tight.
By contrast, my husband has a Honda Civic. About a month ago we all had to use his car as the minivan broke and we had to wait for it to be repaired. We tried to put the 5pt and one of the boosters in, my oldest is now big enough that he does not need the booster anymore. He could not fit in the backseat at all with the 2 seats in there. For the short ride home from where the car broke to home my second sat without the booster and just the seat belt. Thankful we didn't have far to drive! That certainly was not my first choice!
Take the car to the store and try different seats in it to see if you can find something that can fit. But don't be surprised if you find you'll be needing a new car and possibly even new car seats as well in order to fit all 3 seats.

Used to be called Sunshine car seats by Radian I think. Now it's called Dorion car seats. Narrowest one on the market. Heavy so if you are going to be transferring from one car to another it will be difficult

We've always done 3 in a row but I am not familiar with the Jeep Liberty.
Diono seats could work. If not...think about a new car.
If I had just 3 kids I'd have a car, not an SUV or van. Those are just huge and hard to drive and see out of. I'd harness the kids until at least 5 or 6 before moving to a booster. And you can rear-face to about 3 or 4 in a Diono easily.
Sometimes the only way to get 3 in a row is with a combo of rear-facing and forward-facing puzzling, too.
