The very cat that was put outside for clawing us..well turns out she got herself pregnant! Unfortunatly I found out the hard way. She miscarried 1 no bigger than my thumb! So would that mean she was only pregnant a few weeks? What can I do for her? I already gave the last canned food I had...should I keep feeling her belly? I am pretty sad that my still fave cat lost a child..it would have been the cutest kitten! so I guess that is my ?s and "what happened" rolled into one.

What can I do next?

Please take this cat to the Humane Society. These are the situations that I lose sleep over at night. She was hurt, you put her outside, gave her your last can of food, and you do realize that winter is coming?? She'll probably have her remaining kittens and starve and/or freeze half to death trying to take care of her little ones. They'll probably freeze/starve to death too. Do you want that on your conscience??? If you have any love for this cat you would contact your local Humane Society and tell them that you have a stray that needs to be picked up. At least she will have a chance. Don't let her suffer thru a winter trying to survive our Michigan cold. She'll be safe and cared for, and probably adopted. Wouldn't that be nice? You wouldn't have to worry about her being hurt, pregnant, or hungry any more. Please call your local Humane Society.

Why did you put a cat outside for clawing you? Cats have claws for a reason. They defend themselves with them. If you no longer want the cat take it to the humane shelter or ask around if someone would like her and let them know that she is pregant. There are lot of good homes that would love to have a pet. I'm sure that you meant no harm by putting her out but as the other reply posted this is Michigan and it would not survive nor would the kittens when it gets cold. I grew up around cats and still have one to this day. Even barn cats need to be kept warm. If you still want the cat then bring it back in and teach it that clawing is wrong. They can be taught what is acceptable and what is not.

Other options besides the Humane Society would be cat rescue groups or checking out petfinder.com. Check out petfinder.com--they have a great deal of information regarding rescue groups and ads for people looking for pets. You can post ads on petfinder to find a good home too. I've also known people who been successful with putting the pet's picture along with their phone number and posting it at the grocery store, pet store, or ACO. Also, I believe, that your local Petsmart may have information about cat rescue groups.

So...you put her outside for clawing you...to get rid of her? I can only assume that because you mentioned you gave her the "last" can of food you have. As the other poster mentioned, please call the humane society. It is inhumane to set out a cat...or any other animal for that matter to fend for themselves.

C.-If you are going to keep a cat as an outdoor cat it is VERY important to get her spayed and vaccinated. She will continue to get pregnant over and over agin and this will contribute to the pet overpopulation problem. You also need to make sure she has all her vaccines so she does not get a deadly diease from another cat.

who in the world throws their cat outside for sratching them and then calls them their "favorite cat still" why even have an animal if your not going to care for it or take your responsibilities seriously. like the others said, please take it to the pound and give the poor thing a chance for an affectionate life
