Hi Mama's,

I am wondering if any of you are well versed in Celiac Disease? I am looking for help/guidiance from someone who can help me. My daughter has had problems with constipation and excema for several months now, and I have had her IGG and IGA tested, and tested with Enterolab. I have had her off of wheat/gluten for several weeks, and I don't see much of a change in the excema...I have added some suplements to her diet that are greatly helping with the constipation though. I am not really sure where to start for guidance. I could use some help with what to feed her, and also someone to look over these various tests to help explain some of this to me to make sure that I am doing the right thing. I feel like I need a specialist in this field. If you know one...or at least a dietician that is very experienced with this. Please.. if you have any information that might be useful, I could use some quidance on this.

Hi - myself, my husband and four children are all celiac. Dr. Fine who is the founder and physician that runs Enterolab is a Gastro. doc and has been doing research on Celiac for many, many years.

As far as not noticing a difference in your daughters excema, (which is most likely dermatitis herpetiformis), it takes up to 6 months for the villi to began repairing itself after you start and maintain a strict gluten free diet. It is not an overnight fix and each time gluten is introduced into the body it will take some time for the body to repair and heal. The results should have come with an explanation from Dr. Fine - have you already rec. the results?

As for food and supplements - this is where you have to be very careful as to every thing contained in the product. You are welcome to email me offline at ____@____.com for going to a Chiro. doc concerning Celiac, I wouldn't waste my time or money. This is something that you can adhere to on your own and there are no shots, therapies or any other intervention, (other than remaining gluten free), that can cure it.

Hope this helps,
R.

Celiac disease it best diagnosed by a gastrointerologist.........we see Dr Keng at Cook's in Fort Worth........my daughter has type 1 diabetes and celiac is diagnosed in a lot of type 1 diabetics.........has your daughter been diagnosed? My son was on wheat free for awhile due to allergy but that is not near as formal as a celiac diet where you can have no gluten.........B.

Hi K.,

I am a chiropractor and I have worked with many children with similar conditions. I use Applied Kinesiology (aka Muscle Testing) to determine what deficiencies are present that could be causing the constipation and the eczema. I also check for food and/or environmental allergies because I have found that they are typically involved. After determining the deficiencies, I use muscle testing to determine what nutritional supplementation is needed and I prescribe the correct supplementation. Next, I use a cold therapeutic laser to help eliminate the allergies. The great thing is, kids tend to respond very well and they can begin to live a normal life! If you are interested or you have other questions, please don't hesitate to give me a call at ###-###-####. Dr. Sandra S.
