My husband and I are looking to switch our cell phones from Verizon to Cricket. We are trying to cut costs anywhere we can. Has anyone else used Cricket? Are you happy with the service?

We tried Cricket's internet service and it was horrible enough that we won't even consider the phone service. Customer service is terrible and the product only works within the Cricket area, not all over the country. If you plan to leave the southwest for any reason, find a national carrier.

I just switched my son and I over to Cricket to save costs as well about 2 weeks ago. The service is excellent I have the $35 and my son has the $45 with even more options than we had before with TMobile. I have simply unlimited text and talk with nationwide coverage, more than enough for me and simply half the price I was paying before for 2 lines. My son has unlimted web and many other features as well. I found the phones online and got special online offers, so I was only out about $30 bucks a phone. they did have a deal with dicount and mail in rebate that would give yo a free Samsung phone online as well. Again, I notice no difference what so ever in the phone from my previous phone service.

Hi K. - I've had Cricket for about 10 years and I love it! When it first started up, the service was really limited because (according to the sales rep) they do not share cell towers with other companies, they have dedicated towers, and it took them a while to get a decent amount of towers up, but now the service is outstanding. There is nothing you can't do with a Cricket phone that you can do with others AND it's a lot less expensive. There are no hidden fees and they've just recently launched a campaign where they charge NO extra fees period. You pay for the service that's it. The plans range from $45/month up to about $90/month, the less expensive ones still offer unlimited calls/texts.
The only thing I don't like is that their phones are sometimes a little behind the curve, they don't always keep up with the newest phones AND they do not offer any kind of freebie phone or free account phone upgrade. You can get discounts on new phones or purchase upgrade insurance to help with the costs, but they can still be a little expensive.
