Have u seen these pillow/chair things in mall? They are great and my niece and nephew would love but I can't rationalize the price. To by something there for $50-75 each would barely get them a neck pillow. Any cheaper versions out there? Thanks mamas.

What can I do next?

Why don't you go buy a pattern from the craft section of a McCalls or Simplicity pattern book, they have them on sale for $.99 every few months at Hobby Lobby, and buy some foam and fabric and make them pillows?

For $50 each you could make them amazing pillows/contemporary bean bags.

For the pillow style items you can buy pillow's of all sorts of shapes and sizes then just put a cover over them. You can use polyester fiber fill and stuff the pillows. There are many many many ways to do this for the money you're talking about. All can be bought at any normal hobby store such as Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

Look in the pattern books under crafts, home decor, and accessories. There may be other patterns in the book too but those are the sections I'd start looking through.

Speciality shops like Joanne's or a quilter supply store are going to be much higher. I have seen the same fabric at a quilter's store and then found it at Hobby Lobby for more than 50% less so don't be taken in by those stores. Fabric isn't usually more than $6 per yard.

I personally would not buy it.
It is darn expensive.
My budget would be the bottom line.

There is no way, a neck pillow should even cost that much.

Maybe just search for other types of 'bean bag' chairs/furniture/pillows.

I see several styles pictured. Which style are you wanting? I made a bean bag chair for my grandkids by buying the bag and the pellets from Fred Meyer. Just put the bag in the bath tub and pour in the pellets; then close the zipper.

You could pay a seamstress to so a u shaped pillow case and fill it with pellets or down alternative I.e. polyester stuffing. It won't cost $50. Go to a fabric store. Tell them what you want and they will estimate the cost for materials. They can give you names of a seamstress.
