Hi, does anyone know of where I can go get free immunizations for my 3 yr old daughter? She's only in need of 2 so she can be up to date, but I would really want her to get them. I don't have much money at this time and can't afford to take her to her doctor. I would prefer close to home. I live in North Houston. I will appreciate any information, thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi Brenda,

I'm not sure where you can get "free" immunizations, but check with the WorkSource, or even the "city" health clinics. I took my granddaugter back in March to get her immunizations; she got six (6), and it only cost $13.00. However, I know that $13.00 can be a lot when you don't have it to spare. If you can't find anything reasonable, email me back and I could probably mail you $13.00 for the immunizations.

Good Luck

I was watching channel 11 news at noon and they said there were going to be two ffree immunization clinics at some fire stations. I bet you could get the information by going to their website at www.khou.com (I think that is the address)

Call Dr. Levy. He is located at 290 and 610 so it's not really north, but he is definitely the dr. to call. His office number is 713/681-5000 and he has Saturday hours.

There are a lot of places that do shots for a little of nothing or for free i that local W I C clinics do free shot you could call one that is close to you and see when they do them. you can also go to the Harris County clincs and I think that they do shots for a little or nothing or free as well.

go to this website for listings, or visit the harris county health department online

otherwise, there the Humble health center gives immunizations ###-###-####, or call the health department at 1-800-252-9152 for a complete listing of clinics in your area.

I would suggest calling a local dr's office or clinic in your neighborhood and asking there. A local Elementary school or daycare might also have information. The Harris County Public Health Dept says they provide immunizations at several locations, but doesn't say where on their website. The website is www.harriscountyhealth.com, and their phone number is ###-###-####. That would probably be your best bet. Good luck!
