Hello,
I found out my son needs his top two front teeth crowned
along with a filling in the back. I'm kind of skeptical for two reason. I know these are the next teeth to fall out and his bottom two have fallen out and the perm. teeth are both in. Another reason is this is a new dentist and I saw alot of other kids with crowns as well. I don't know what to do does anyone have an experience professional or personally on children and caps. There is no visible decay but there is some thing they have shown on the x ray.

I would run from that office fast. Get another opinion from a pediatric dentist. Do not tell him what you were told.
I would seek out another opinion and do that with a pediatric dentist.
At his age, it is true that the teeth will be coming out within a year or so.
At the same time, you don't want to ignore something that could possibly have other secondary infections, etc. to his health.
Don't skimp on health and safety for you and your children BUT, make sure you have all the information so you can make a more informed decision.
You have doubts, so get a second dentist's opinion.
I would say a second opinion but be totally sure it'a a reputable pediatric dentist. They are specialist in baby teeth. They will be able to see what is going on and maybe just pull the teeth when they get bad enough to cause infection or abscesses.
My grand kids both had to have a crown. But they were much younger. If this situation was their story now I do think I'd wait until the tooth was more decayed then have it pulled.

2nd opinion. If they are baby teeth, they will fall out soon, why would he need crowns unless something was seriously wrong.
I'd get a second opinion before pulling kids teeth especially if you notice it's a trend in this office to pull teeth
Definitely get a second opinion. If this was at any of those chain dental locations, especially get a second opinion from a one doctor, small family office. Good luck
I would definitely get a second opinion. Also, on the xrays, where are his permanent fron teeth? My daughter was showing a very slight cavity that we could probably take care of without a filling on her bottom tooth. The dentist showed me the xrays and you could see the permanent teeth that would be coming up anytime. Her tooth got loose within a month and finally fell out last month.
Don't do the crowns. My daughter had a crown in preschool on a molar, but she would have the tooth for several more years and the cavity was large. She currently has a small cavity on a baby tooth, but the dentist said it's not worth filling since the tooth will fall out soon enough and it isn't bothering her. Some dentists will pull a baby tooth if they're really bad. I would definitely find another dentist. I see no reason to put crowns on the front teeth.
And no visible decay? The teeth aren't terribly sensitive? Again, time for a different dentist. If your own dentist is still the same and someone you trust, take him there. It's what I do with my daughter, and we can make our appointments for the same time.
5 or 6 yrs old is about the time those top front baby teeth fall out.
If there's no decay, why do they need to be crowned only to fall out in a year or so?
