My son went to the Lighthouse about 3 years ago..I didn't have any issues except the manager was pretty rude but she left..I dont' know if they still have it...but back then they had cameras in all the rooms you could watch online if you wanted..I thougth that was pretty cool...I would always spend my lunchtime at work checking my son out..=)

Hi, E. - The only experience I have with that Children's Lighthouse was an awful tour! It was hot, not very clean and the room was incredibly disorganized! The kids learn out of a book (not many good learning TOOLS) which may not be good for kids with other learning styles. In the infant room, the teachers were standing around in the kitchenette area eating, not playing or interacting with the babies. The asst. director who gave the tour was not very professional (imho) and seemed disinterested in giving us a positive tour. The playground was less than inviting. And, there was Ajax on the paper towel dispenser in the kids' classroom, just above where their store-bought cookies were being served for their less-than-nutritious snacktime. The kids did not look like they were having fun, either.

I also have a friend whose son went there for Pre-K and was not ready for Kindergarten when he started public Kindergarten. He require extra tutoring to get him up to speed.

I have only heard good things about Primrose schools.

You can not go wrong if you go with Primrose. We have had a very positive experience with this school and I beleive several others will tell you the same. The teachers are more qualified than you will find at most preschools and the curriculum is superb.

My son went there from 18 months until he began Kindergarten this past year. We were very pleased with the care he received as well as the education. He was well ahead of the game in school this past year (he reads on a 2nd grade level) and I attribute much of his success to the pre-K education he received at Primrose.

Good luck to you!
